Scariest Movie you have ever seen?

i know as exjws, probably for the most, there was a secret freedom in watching horror films without thinking you would have a demon as a bed buddy.. i am not very fond of every horror movie, but i will watch those that have an intelligent side to it and is not gore for the sake of gore.

like "the ring" got me going when i first watched it, just like "the blair witch project" did, which is more about suspense.

anyway, i never saw any of the saw movies, so i am going to try to watch saw iii tonight, since it is on showtime.

Amateurs...lol...just randomly ......(Dario Argento's movies are finally coming to American audiences. His new movie called "Giallo" is opening sometime this summer."giallo means yellow and refers to the italian horror genre of slasher type films popular in Italy in 70s and 80s).

1. Halloween (1978) and David Lynch's Lost Highway are my favorites...

i got early to the kh and the boe came to talk to me.

they ask me to read the bible and asked me a couple of questions.

OK my friend. If you have been honest and you have actually been appointed an overseer in the congregation, Hail Mary Mother of Jesus, good !!! Now are you the kind of person who is going to set an example and take the lead in field service and actually sit down to prepare your share of crap for the Ministry School and the occasional Public Talk? Your in an unique position. Here is my advice: On the body of elders there will perhaps be someone a little critical of WT policy- can you find out who? Can you win over his confidence -over time -and have a "friend" along with you so your not in this thing alone and help someone else at the same time other than your goal of "your family" The more that realize the BS the better and with a litle luck and knowledge FROM YOU you can put a dent in there. To win over an elders confidence means your going to have to spend your share of time with them not begging off. SO i hope something positive can come out of this. In Lethbridge Alberta James Penton got almost 50% of the congregation to get up out of their chairs and leave during the meeting. Thats the best case scenario. I hope u can at least get some family members out. All the BEST !

Look at your future: Lying to your girlfriend or wife, and any future jobs! Which by the way if you get caught lying on any job you will probably get fired! No woman but a drug addict will put up with you!

So what options do you have but to seek help!

You are a very special person in a unique circumstance. You have been able to fake your hours, celebrate a pagan holiday, associate with "opposers", put yourself at risk by using the Bible only, spoken with Dfd ppl, and used profanity for cursory enjoyment. Why should I view you as taking a position of trust and accepting it as if you were a total liar and two faced as if "2 wrongs don't make a right?.... I dont. Period. You are not as bad as those promulgating the BS of the Society for many reasons. I believe u know these reasons in your heart. Who am I to tell you you are Two faced ? . I should be ashamed of my self for accusing you of such an idiotic presumption. Viewing this "cult" as a joke or as a "club" or whatever ...after so many years in it if I were a pioneer or a MS or had many previliges in the org who is to say i wouldnt continue in that capacity for many years...keeping my own opinions to myself. As have done many many former "apostates"...I personally find it angers me when former JWs accuse someone of hypocrisy for following their own conscience. WHO are you to tell this person he is "no better than the Society"?...or a "hypocrite?"....I personally since age 16 continued to read apostate literature and do many things against the WTs edicts and was a MS ....I was very close to being appointed as an elder but since my marriage was falling apart I decided i had had enough....all until I was 30. I didnt feel like I was a hypocrite In the slightest. I helped who i could help and in the end anothe elder left cuz of my actions. Something "wrong" with you ? Hell NO!

What is the point in discussing what cannot be known

You're a very logical person and everything you have said is straightforward logic. However the answer to this question, for me, is simple. For example, the point in discussing what cannot be known is to mentally prepare myself for the possiblity that "alien" contact on our shared planet will come in my lifetime. By refusing to accept that out of all those galaxies only this planet in this galaxy had a pair of brothers, the "wright brothers" who started the whole areospace industry is to close my mind to the real possiblity that smarter life did it before us and better. It doesnt take any imagination. Just ask Gordon Cooper.

THE reason my mother stays a JW

got a call from my mom this morning and she asked me if i had made plans to go to the memorial.....anyways she knows i dont want to be a jw and kind of understands to a point.

they recently had the c.o and some friends over for dinner (as usual) and she said "i made pasta and everyone loved it"... yes thats the reason she loves the jws cause everyone loves her cooking!

she has always recieved praise from anyone coming over for dinner about her cooking and says "if we weren't in the truth you know how bored we would be?

I feel a lot of JWs stay because it gives them something to do that they are used to doing now and to change is just too out of the box. Too uncomfortable. She has told me many times over the yrs she doesnt agree with a lot of things but the important thing for some, apparently, is to recieve praise from others for their cooking....For others it could be their little business of preparing tax returns, ect..who knows..Meanwhile the yrs go by without being a family any more. The shunning continues.

i am being called an apostate by some at the kingdumhell ,what should i do

when i bump into the people who are calling me that name i would like to say something about what apostate actually means but im not very articulate (you may have noticed) one lady has said she will be polite to me but nothing else , im not even an ex dub just an ex study so do i actually qualify for that title in the "land of makebelieve"?

i know that jws think they invented the word apostate !

The church you speak of was a very small landmark church.....and ....The church you speak of that was destroyed is described as a "tiny" and "small" church . So yes im not surprised at all it was demolished.

If not, could someone please find for me the Greek Orthodox church that was located about two blocks away from the towers?

Im not surprised there was some loss in the surrounding area. But at the time it seemed to me that it should of been much worse. This was only a passing thought at the time. All im saying is I find it strange that under the circumstances the correct thing for minimal damage happened - Which is the building coming down on itself floor by floor by floor. What I really thought was going to happen, at the time,which surprised me more than anything was that i thought "Ok the planes hit all the way up there ...now ..we are going to have the top of the buiding burning and slowly disintergrating ..and eventually there is going to be half a building on site that will need to be taken down later." But no the whole thing came down floor by floor. Wow i thought after...how the heck did that actually happen? When i I heard the firemen's statements it gave me a reason to react differently...
