Unbelievable. Realone im on your side with this. What these ppl dont realize ,apparently including, your so called brothers in christ, is that God himself in the Bible pronounces judgment on all unbelievers. Blood will be all over the place..ect..ect..so u are being just like God. Bravo i say. While these other CHrist i ans just sit back and just preach lovy lovy stuff at least u are talking about the judgment aspect of the Bible. Your in fact no different than God in this way.If ur gona be a Christian might as well Be like God i always say...oh wait..maybe that the side the other CHrisTian half like to IGNORE.

I went. Had to ....but....an elder who ive known since childhood ...and havent seen in yrs...gave me a hug knowin full well my "apostate " background.and that im stil lDFd....nice guy i still like him. THe local cong usuallly go to the local assembly hall for their memorial. They had like 1302 ppl there..seemed like less than usual ..lots of emtpy seats beside me...Usual crap ..how do u know if U are to partake of the emblems...blah blah blah....membership drive meeting mostly.

Do you believe we are alone (Aliens, God and Angels)?
by Layla33 ina post someone else made, just made me want to start a discussion on the ideas of aliens, people from other planets, etc and our ideas of god, jesus and angels/demons.. the first time i ever even thought about this on any real level was when i was taking a greek mythology course and we were talking about avatars and the like, at the very same time i was taking a philosophy course and started discussing "did god create man or did man create god".
it was during that semester that that a group of friends and i started having these very existential discussion which lead to some very interesting questions and dialogue.
i have never looked at things the same.. flash forward to about three and a half years ago and through a chain of events, i am in a room with people from nasa working on a grant proposal.

Scariest Movie you have ever seen?
by Layla33 ini know as exjws, probably for the most, there was a secret freedom in watching horror films without thinking you would have a demon as a bed buddy.. i am not very fond of every horror movie, but i will watch those that have an intelligent side to it and is not gore for the sake of gore.
like "the ring" got me going when i first watched it, just like "the blair witch project" did, which is more about suspense.
anyway, i never saw any of the saw movies, so i am going to try to watch saw iii tonight, since it is on showtime.

Amateurs...lol...just randomly ......(Dario Argento's movies are finally coming to American audiences. His new movie called "Giallo" is opening sometime this summer."giallo means yellow and refers to the italian horror genre of slasher type films popular in Italy in 70s and 80s).

OK my friend. If you have been honest and you have actually been appointed an overseer in the congregation, Hail Mary Mother of Jesus, good !!! Now are you the kind of person who is going to set an example and take the lead in field service and actually sit down to prepare your share of crap for the Ministry School and the occasional Public Talk? Your in an unique position. Here is my advice: On the body of elders there will perhaps be someone a little critical of WT policy- can you find out who? Can you win over his confidence -over time -and have a "friend" along with you so your not in this thing alone and help someone else at the same time other than your goal of "your family" The more that realize the BS the better and with a litle luck and knowledge FROM YOU you can put a dent in there. To win over an elders confidence means your going to have to spend your share of time with them not begging off. SO i hope something positive can come out of this. In Lethbridge Alberta James Penton got almost 50% of the congregation to get up out of their chairs and leave during the meeting. Thats the best case scenario. I hope u can at least get some family members out. All the BEST !

You are a very special person in a unique circumstance. You have been able to fake your hours, celebrate a pagan holiday, associate with "opposers", put yourself at risk by using the Bible only, spoken with Dfd ppl, and used profanity for cursory enjoyment. Why should I view you as taking a position of trust and accepting it as if you were a total liar and two faced as if "2 wrongs don't make a right?.... I dont. Period. You are not as bad as those promulgating the BS of the Society for many reasons. I believe u know these reasons in your heart. Who am I to tell you you are Two faced ? . I should be ashamed of my self for accusing you of such an idiotic presumption. Viewing this "cult" as a joke or as a "club" or whatever ...after so many years in it if I were a pioneer or a MS or had many previliges in the org who is to say i wouldnt continue in that capacity for many years...keeping my own opinions to myself. As have done many many former "apostates"...I personally find it angers me when former JWs accuse someone of hypocrisy for following their own conscience. WHO are you to tell this person he is "no better than the Society"?...or a "hypocrite?"....I personally since age 16 continued to read apostate literature and do many things against the WTs edicts and was a MS ....I was very close to being appointed as an elder but since my marriage was falling apart I decided i had had enough....all until I was 30. I didnt feel like I was a hypocrite In the slightest. I helped who i could help and in the end anothe elder left cuz of my actions. Something "wrong" with you ? Hell NO!

What is the point in discussing what cannot be known
You're a very logical person and everything you have said is straightforward logic. However the answer to this question, for me, is simple. For example, the point in discussing what cannot be known is to mentally prepare myself for the possiblity that "alien" contact on our shared planet will come in my lifetime. By refusing to accept that out of all those galaxies only this planet in this galaxy had a pair of brothers, the "wright brothers" who started the whole areospace industry is to close my mind to the real possiblity that smarter life did it before us and better. It doesnt take any imagination. Just ask Gordon Cooper.
