  Are JW's generally better than average people?

  i for one, would blindly trust just about anyone on this forum, just the fact of knowing that you already were a jw.. does this mean that jw's in general are better people or are we a very close bunch of people?.

  Most JWs started out as skeptics. So no, these are not written off for that reasom.

  You bring out some good points. I agree no one has the right to feel superior to anyone. In your own self though, it is good to know you are trying to do the right thing.

  Higher education has its place. More mature ones can and do succeed in furthering these interests. The main point is not to keep it as a the focus of life over spiritual matters.

  'counting time' as you say is very much not a priority to any I know. Mature ones are sincerely trying to find the meek ones who are being drawn to Jehovah.

  Having an ongoing discussion with someone for years can be possible. Most now days though are apathetic to any doctrines of any religion. Most don't see the immediacy of the message being brought to them .. as in Noah's day.

  No transition coming here but you do sound like one of the more reasonable ones on this board.

  The title of this thread begs contoversy and I just responded. Sometimes I am not very diplomatic but am working on it.

  The reason I feel JWs are better is because they at least try to do better. As seen on this thread many are content to just go along. You have to admire people who put forth the effort to better themselves.
