  AuldSoul - - - I would rather see raniaa feel welcome on a site where she will not be attacked for asking simple, logical questions. If you read over her posts here you will see that most of the time she has been shown a lot of hostility.

  She has stated from the start that she wishes to return to the Jehovah's Witnesses.

  Is it at all likely that she will get helpful info from ones who do nothing but discredit the organization?

  Did you notice that before I stepped in on her side that most posters here attacked her? Now they see that maybe she can be sucked in here, they have switched their venom on me ... I'm not seen as a likely convert.

  AuldSoul ... I used to post under a different name years ago .. we have some good times.

  Do JW's reveal all their doctrines to those they study the Bible with?

  yes, the fairly new bible teach book contains some info in the appendix, but do witnesses include that in the study?.

  If you read all BonaFide's posts you will see he has not suffered shunning.

  Someone has claimed he acted indecently with her and she reported it. Now other sisters are coming forward saying the same thing. BF's repy??? I thought they liked it!!!!

  He claims to be an active JW, having been a MS, elder, Co, pioneer (now), and special pioneer.

  With all this behind him he actually posts a thread at this level??? I don't think so.

  Point (1). When young children are baptized it is their decision. They come from families who are already serving Jehovah. They aren't pulled off the streets and forced into baptism.

  Point (2) The screaming during rape is a Biblical mandate ... not made up by man.

  Point (3) Not being able to remarry except on the grounds of adultery is Scriptural .. not a manmade law.

  Point (4) There is no recruitment. The Good News of the Kingdom is being preached worldwide as Scripturally foretold. Again no man-made rule.

  It's not like anyone is holding a gun to someone's head and saying ... 'you'd better join'. We aren't talking about baboons or morons. Everyone has the freedom to choose to accept or reject the message.

  once again, the "wicked old world" is accomplishing what jesus, sitting invisibly on a throne and playing "world of warcraft" for going on a century, has not done:.

  sir82 - - - 'soon' is a relative word. As sinful imperfect humans, we often equate 'soon' with "I wanted that to happen yesterday" ... it's never 'soon' enough.

  Who are we to gage when 'soon' is soon enough. It isn't even for man to direct his own step. And you think man has the right to decide when 'soon' is the right time.

  Be glad that you are even given the chance and the right to be so hurtful and slanderous to a God who loves you. His time to end it all will come 'soon' enough. Will you then cry " Oh no .. it's too soon !!!"

  sir82 - - - modern medicine and science are do wonderful things, I agree.

  How does this compare to Jesus examples of future healings he will perform. He certainly showed by healing the lame and restoring life to the dead on a small scale while on earth.

  I think I'd rather put my faith in Scripture. It's great that this man can now walk. But to compare this with the marvels of Jesus is not even on the same page.

  i was just curious---.

  i assume that there are active jws that visit here.. any idea on the percent that the board has?

  does it just seem to be a very few or is it a substantial number?.

  chickpea - - - you are wrong about catholic excommunication.

  My brother wanted to marry a catholic lady some years ago. The priest would not marry them. If my brother converted then maybe. My brother would not convert. They ended marrying anyway. My SIL was completely shunned from her church. Their children were considered less than dirt ... never a hope for them ... would burn in hell for eternity. My SIL ended up dying very young ... probably from a broken heart.

  Now in the case of witnesses at least there is a chance ... the wages of sin are death. One does not burn eternally for the sins of the parents. One does not burn eternally in any case.

  So don't hold the catholic church up as doing anyone a favor .. excommunication leaves one with NO hope.

  Hi raniaa - - - in reference to your mentioning that Simon started this site as a true witness - - -

  I used to think the same thing. Thought he came here expecting to have fine interchange and fellowship with faithful followers.

  Then I listened to the radio interview posted here from Aug.16th/08. This site was totally set up from the get-go as a means to instill uncertainty and bias against the society.

  It has either had success or has drawn many who were already weak.

  I've been asked why I post here by a few. It started years ago when I was inactive. I posted under a different name. When I got busy again in the truth, I'd still stop in to see what's new. It's been kind of fun because under the name Rosalee I can still gage replies knowing the poster from another view as well.

  It's basically called an addiction. One I'm working on. That's why I was glad when I stopped in only to see that this site is closing ... that will certainly end my addiction.

  The sooner the better this site closes for you too, raniaa.

  English lesson 101 for worf:

  Name --- is a noun.

  Short and disgruntled are adjectives.

  Adjectives describe nouns.

  I can't call you an adjective.
