why i'm not a dub:.
we: maybe we cant solve all of the worlds problems, but weve already solved plenty of them so far, and there are a lot more we can solve if we give more of ourselves to help our fellow humans.. dubs: we cant solve all of the worlds problems, so why bother trying to solve any of them?
well just sell books, and youd better buy them.
I couldn't be a dub since I won't shave my beard off and I like fine long filler cigars too much.

"You say that you don't "see" the WTS mentioned in "that verse". Of course you don't, do you imagine that I figured that YOU would be able to discern such a thing. Of course not, Weed. I knew in advance of posting all of this that you haven't the insight that it takes to understand hardly ANYTHING about the Bible. Why are you that way? Because you're not in association with the right group, for only one reason."
Can you name ANYONE who agrees with your interpretation? When you claim aChristian does not have the insight to understand your unique interpretation because of failings on his part that is a tacit admitance that all others who do not agree with you are lacking this insight, including the WTB&TS. If the GB is truly God's channel with a special anointing of the Holy Spirit then it would be impossible for anyone to understand scripture better then they. Remember that your favorite verse says '....some of those having insight will be made to stumble...' which suggests there are 'some' who do not stumble and since the GB is God's chosen channel it must mean they won't stumble. So who could it be that is stumbled? Since you are no longer associated with them and you are all alone with your prophetic speculation you might look in the mirror for the answer. Are you really the only one in the whole world who understands scripture correctly? Think real hard about what this would mean before you answer.
i just can't believe that i underwent major surgery twice and signed papers that i would not take blood.
i shudder to think what would have happened had my only child faced such a situation.
i'm amazed at my past stupidity.. i knew a young sister who lost her new husband when he needed blood after a car accident.
We probably will never know how many have died from following the Org's teaching on vaccines, organ transplants and blood transfusions. It could be in the thousands. The WTS likes to point to the Catholic church and the deaths it has been responsible for. The problem is the Catholic church has been around for almost 2000 years so has had a lot of years to screw up. It would be impossible to guess how many deaths the WTS would be responsible for if it had been around as long as the Catholic church has. The WTS is responsible for many deaths in a fairly short time. Stretch that to 2000 years and it could be an incredible amount. All in the name of Jehovah.

I suppose the JWs all talked about how wonderful it was that they were that faithful "even unto death".
Not really faithful to Jehovah but faithful to an organization. Jw's seem to take death from a lack of blood therapy so lightly. Either life is sacred or it isn't. Even if we assume to abstain from blood means no blood transfusions then why not err on the side of mercy instead of sacrifice? The following may help to illustrate this:
(Mat 12:1 NRSV) At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the sabbath; his disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat.
(Mat 12:2 NRSV) When the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, "Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the sabbath."
(Mat 12:3 NRSV) He said to them, "Have you not read what David did when he and his companions were hungry?
(Mat 12:4 NRSV) He entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him or his companions to eat, but only for the priests.
(Mat 12:5 NRSV) Or have you not read in the law that on the sabbath the priests in the temple break the sabbath and yet are guiltless?
(Mat 12:6 NRSV) I tell you, something greater than the temple is here.
(Mat 12:7 NRSV) But if you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless.
(Mat 12:8 NRSV) For the Son of Man is lord of the sabbath."
Jesus demonstrates how even tho it was wrong for David and his compainions to eat the bread of the Presence they were guiltless because they were hungry. If Jehovah desires mercy and not sacrifice then why not show mercy on those in need of blood if it could save their lives? Besides,Jw's don't follow the bible anyway since blood is supposed to be poured out onto the ground and covered with dust. By taking any part of blood goes against this scripture:
(Lev 17:13 KJV) And whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.
many have argued that articles in awake!
in recent years show that watchtower was letting itself be told what do by the purple beast, namely, promote the united nations in its writings.
i can understand how many might quickly find support for this claim, for there are, indeed, many articles in awake!
The answer might be found if those with the WT CD researched to see the type of articles concerning the UN that were printed in the Awake! before '91. If there is a definate difference in tone after '91 then it should be plain they were trying to suck up to the UN.
last week i sold my beloved 1996 husaberg fe 501 to a guy in virginia, over 3000 miles from where i live.
he saw the ad i placed on the internet.
today i took the bike to the shipper to be loaded and sent back east.
Go for a Kawasaki Vulcan 1500. That is what I ride. Most of my friends have Harleys so of course they give me a hard time about having a 'Jap' bike. It's fun to line them all up at the local meat market and hang out with the buds. Everyone stays clear of a bunch of leather clad low-lifes. Except for the women of course. They always want a ride. hehe. Funny thing is, alot of the Japanese bikes are %100 made in America. Harley parts are mostly Japanese made. I just tell them: "All I can say is I've got twice the bike at half the money". If you want a Harley get a Heritage or at least a DynaGlide. The Sportster will feel too small after awhile.
i ran into jesus the other day (he has a tv show in south.
park, you know).. i asked him what he thought about the 21 million copies of.
the jan.8 awake on the twin tower disaster.. his answer didn't surprize me:.
Has it been determined just what the WTBTS really did to help/not help on Sept. 11th? There has been some speculation about it but does anyone know for a fact what they did?
just had a conversation with a friend who is going to pre-marriage classes at her soon to be husband's lutheran church.
she (a methodist) says that she is causing quite an uproar because she keeps asking questions and the minister told her off at her last class.
she questioned his statement that a person cannot understand the bible properly unless they are lutheran.
Judith:
I've been Lutheran (ELCA) for about 20 years. And yes, you do have to go through a new members class to join the church. But that is only for voting membership and nothing else. Even a Lutheran bishop would have to go through the class if he wanted to join our congregation as a member. But this class has nothing to do with your salvation. You are not viewed any less if you don't join the church. Just can't vote on local congregational issues (new church furnace, new pastor, etc.)Our congregation came close to pulling out of the ELCA this year because of the liberal trend within the synod. I think we will pull out in a few years.
Frankly, it could have been frustration on the pastors part. He might have felt your friend was being argumentive and uncooperative. An LDS missionary once called me a pig. Since your friend is Methodist I'm not sure what kind of disagreements she could have had with Lutheran teaching since it isn't that different from Methodist.

Being a Lutheran, I have no idea what that pastor was talking about. I have never heard any pastor or anyone else within the Lutheran church that I attend say you had to be Lutheran to be saved. As a matter of fact, communion is 'open' as long as you recognized Jesus as your saviour. You don't have to be Lutheran to partake. Could it have been a misunderstanding?
