Reniaa why are JW's allowed to take fractions that also comes from blood? If they are allowed to take those then they should be allowed to restock the blood banks to make more for others.

Every JW should be asked...
by Honesty inthe following 2 questions when they arrive at your door with the watchtower society's 'good news' and their jesus (the prehuman angel michael, the human jesus and a resurrected spirit creature [6/15/06 watchtower page 30]) who is 3 persons in one:.
the first question is, if you truly abstain from blood, how can you belong to a religion that allows parts of blood?.
the second question is, would you donate blood so that the fractions allowed by the watchtower society could save the life of one of your jehovah's witness brothers or sisters?.

Thank you for all your replies. I could not understand why Reniaa would say that we worship the cross. I felt it had to be something she was told and then believed.
Being me I needed to find out from others if anyone did worship the cross and so far no one does.
So Reniaa it looks like you are wrong and have been told a lie by the watchtower. -

I asked between 40 and 50 people who I know are Christians and they all said NO why would anyone worship a cross, what can a piece of wood or metal do for us, why would we worship it, how can you pray to a cross.
Is this something the watchtower tells their followers we do?
I had never heard of worshiping the cross until Reniaa kept saying it's what we do. -

jesus denies being God! scriptural discussion.
by reniaa ini thought after recently reading the bible i would put up for disussion some recent scriptures up which for me show that jesus never viewed himself as god and anyone listening would also see it this way too.. first mark 10 :17-20.
17as jesus started on his way, a man ran up to him and fell on his knees before him.
"good teacher," he asked, "what must i do to inherit eternal life?

I have found this quite interesting reading and have my own reason for believing Jesus is God.
One day a person comes up to you and says here read this book and decide what God you want.
The book is divided into 2 parts so you start reading the first part it starts of really nice telling us how the world was created. You start thinking what a nice person this God is (we find out later in the second part of the book who he really is) You carry on reading and after a while you start to read about this God killing everyone apart from 8 people and all the animals. So he almost starts again but people won’t worship him so he has them killed. Just because he can. You read that millions were killed. This God by the way is called Jehovah. This God wants and demands worship. As people had free will they wanted to do as they wished and not follow laws set by this God.
Then we go onto the second part of the book and the God we find here is different from the other God. This God only has 2 commandments and they are about love he tells us to forgive people and not to judge them. He tells us to forgive them over and over again. He wants us to love one another. The name of this God is Jesus and it was through him all things were made. This God did lots of wonderful things because of love. This God then died for us not just for me but for everyone of us. So our sins could be forgiven.
Now I believe that the God in the first part of the book did not really understand us humans so he had to empty himself of everything apart from Love and come down to live as one of us. Then he could see we needed guidance, love and understanding. Not to be bullied into worshiping him.
If you had to choose which God was the best who would you chose
As a Christian I know Jesus is my saviour -

MY PROJECT IS (FINALLY) FINISHED!
by Mary infor those of you who are interested, the project i've been working on for the last few months is finally finished.
i originally did a thread about it back in april: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/10/156497/1.ashx.
it seems that alot of us still have family members in the religion and have not infrequent arguments with them about some of the beliefs and practices.

If Reniaa is not already back as a JW. Then maybe, just maybe she is trying so hard to make what the watchtower tell her to believe true. She must be having strong doubts in her mind that they are wrong or she would just believe it and not worry about what anyone else thinks.

Is it the JW's or the God of the bible you no longer believe?
by reniaa ini have a question for the ex-jw's on this forum after months of reading the forum..... many say how good it is to be free of the oppressiveness of the jw's that they can now enjoy the freedom to... have sex, celebrate christmas, gamble, embrace politics etc.
there are still biblical scriptures and principles in place that if you still followed the bible would mean you avoid these things and yet these are now embraced as one of the perks of no longer being a jw so in my confusion i ask.... if these are what you want, isn't it more correct to say you no longer follow the bible as apposed to just the jw's?.

I am a Christian I have never idolized a cross I dont know any Christians that do either.
I think it's just something the watchtower tell you will do.
I have seen tie pins, rings and other jewlery for sale with the watchtower on, does that mean all JW's idolize the watchtower? -

I have always recieved gifts all year round. My grandmother who is non Christian always got me a "little something" when ever she went shopping, my parents who are Christian gave/give me presents all the time as well, but the things I remember most have been the birthday parties and big family Christmas get togethers.
I don't see any harm in Being made to feel special for one day a year. It's not a form of worship.
My friend tries to tell me he dont celebrate christmas or his birthday but around the time of those events he gets presents, so I always say that was a nice present for your mum to buy for your birthday/Christmas. He can make out all he likes that he dont celebrate them but he does really and I think a lot of JW's celebrate them as well. They just do it with the door shut lol
