I am planning three seperate trips. This one will be to go east. I will take my father's ashes to North Carolina, sprinkle some at the ocean, some on the Pamlico River, and bury the rest with his family. I have an uncle in North Georgia, and an Aunt in Annapollis MD I want to see. Otherwise, it is just for fun.
I am planning on leaving Albuquerque sometime in mid to late May. I will discuss specific dates in PM's.
I will head west to Oaklahoma City, then north to Springfield.....St Louis.....then north to Indianapolis.....Columbus.....then head east to Maryland to see my aunt. Then down to the North Carolina coast. From there towards Georgia, then back through the southern states back to Albuquerque.
I, of course will venture off this path to meet some of you, understanding I will be somewhat limited. I also would be willing to park and fly to meet a group of you, I'm thinking Toronto (because there are so many of you in that area), but I don't want to assume that the timing would work out. Thought I would mention it (just in case).
My second trip will be to Southern CA. Arizona...etc... I'll let you know when the dates will be for that.
I will also go to Hawaii, Maui, I have two daughters and two grandkids there I want to see. That will be later also.
Okay, I'm ready for some feedback.

by Princess Daisy Boo ini mean seriously friends... what difference does this announcement make to the grand scheme of things?.
yes, it may be a huge change to the way they do things, but what effect will it really have?.
it is not like we can use it against them to prove that they are not a ucked fup horrible mind controlling cult.

I had a chance to mention to my mom that I heard the bookstudy was no more
by sosad inand she told me that was absolutly not the case.
she laughed and said that would never happen - that they needed it and that where ever i had gotten my infomation from was absolutly wrong and that i could tell them so.
she then told me that the public talk had been shortened - and i said that i had heard that it was 15 minutes shorter - the fact that i knew that kinda threw her.. but the book study would never go.

My husband told me last night he heard about it, (big deal because no one is suppose to know), announcement tomorrow (today).
I just acted mildly surprised and interested. I love it that I knew this a week ago. LOVE IT!

Movies I missed growing up a witness?
by inkling inok, so a recent post about the godfather got me thinking what a massively sheltered life i had growing up, .
and all the classic r rated (or otherwise offensive to delicate jw sensibilities) movies i must have missed.. i am not easily offended now, and am open to pretty much any genre.. i have a lot of catching up to do, so i could use some help-.
what are your all time favorite movies, "inappropriate for christians" or otherwise?.

how do you change your perspective?

However, I highly recommend cross-referencing any "secret society" you are thinking of joining before doing so. If you get into the wrong one, you could be scammed out of thousands of dollars and no better perspective. Or, a cult that could be as bad as the witlesses. Or you could find yourself in the Freemasons, some Mafia organization, or a gang. Or a criminal group that could even kill you for attempting to leave. Which fact means it's necessary to look at the policies and get an inside look before joining--if the ones running the "secret society" are upfront and totally objective, and there are very few complaints from members about it (you will always get a few), despite no ban on such grumbling, chances are you will benefit. But if they are secretive and deceptive about policies or ban dissidence, that is a red flag.
LOL Wizard....I think I'll stick to movies.
