  hey "i am a newbie poster" and would like a running start here with a problem i have to solve.

  a certain bible-reading friend thinks that her apartment is full of angels.

  in last week's discussion of angels, i understand that an angel is only sent by god to certain people in order to complete specific messages from jehovah.

  The devil would cleverly disguise himelf as a messenger of light, i.e. minister of some kind, and who would suspect someone talking the walk? I'm not suggesting the Bible is anything but God's word, but people can be delusioned into thinking that after some study and even knowing the Bible well, that they are no longer who they once were. I'm no angel myself, fallen or otherwise, but you know what I mean? John Doe has the point -- sometimes you have to look at yourself, or your behavior as the enemy, and go from there.

  The WT website has an article on angels, and it finally mentions protective guardians at the end, so as to accept their existence I guess. They can also help Jehovah's chosen ones defeat their enemies.

  In conclusion, I decided the person (who is no Witness) poses a defensive position. I figure to just stay far away as possible from her, and all those demons as well.

  Numinous the WT and awake are actually correct. There is an interesting bit of research out called Alien Intrusion by Gary Bates which is loosely intertwined with belief in evolution. Both alien and evolution belief requires faith in unproven psuedo-scientific suppositions. There is famously an account in the Bible at the start of one of the Old Testament chapters that seems to describe a flying saucer as we know of it though the writer clearly includes that this is only a vision, not a real UFO. No respected physicist or engineer would suggest intergalactic travels would be possible, so the only way there creatures can appear on earth is through another, unseen dimension.

  Hence the devil is at his work. One of the most famous alien characters, Semjase, was actually taken from ancient scriptures that are not included in the Bible. She is part of the realm of fallen angels though. ... Reports of UFO's,, interestingly run through family lines and alien visitations are always reported at night. ... IF you have an encounter then simply call on the name of JESUS to force them away from you.

  Well, as I say the devil can read the Bible, and devil-worshippers say prayers, only to them the Lord is Beezlebub. One of the greatest things I experience in the witness process so far, is they really give you a thorough going over all the Bible topics. Starting from What the Bible Really Teaches, the two counselors frequently ask about your personal opinions on these "iffy" topics. There are a lot of Protestant Churches who will accept membership with less rigor. As a result many develop and harbor wierdly subjective opinions that may go unsurfaced until it is found out that they are serial killers. And angels are far from being mythological.

  It is an important issue if a person is going to go about professing to be a minister. It is said somewhere the devil likes to disguise him/herself as being of the light.

  I am gong over to the UFO thread now ...thanks for your opinions!

  Catholic means "universal", while the WTS is a Bible Study Group and pretty good at that. Nazarenes or Brethren have their missionaries and social causes, though not as widespread. I participate in many churches on a haven't asked/won't tell basis, and if it is a problem I'd shake the dust off my foot. If you really study what Jesus' intents are, then the Witnesses are the closest thing to doing his work.

  Who's pointing the Accuser's finger at the RCC? What a joke that is, in light of the devil unleashed from protestant (state) churches. I could go thru the history but lets look at the present. With the capitalism's chokehold grip tightening more on us every day, I cannot turn away form the Catholoic Church.

  The RCC holds nothing against the WTS or other Christian churches. I believe the RCC is active on many fronts of social peace and justice -- condemning Bush for the Iraq war, helping migrant farm workers etc. and they encourage support groups within i.e. the Knights of Columbus and Pax Christi.

  I think the Nazarene church service easily bests either one, with too many rituals in one and the fairy-airy music of the other suffocating me.

  No, JaguarBass ... The angels are suppose to be in her place and nobody wants to control anybody else. I am simply questioning their orientation. As I said, an angel rarely appears and if so, carries a specific message from Jehovah and then leaves. They must be slack, fallen angels or demons.

  Well, she did come from Michigan and believes there is spiritual warfare going on, as a result of her reading some type of book with that title I think, all about "warring angels." Also she says she may have been with aliens from a flying saucer she witnessed while working late night up there. My research into UFO cults turns out, that many are really based upon ancient scripture about the Nehilum, and they are under satan's influence. I therefore have kept a little more distance myself. It goes on to show that even the devil can read the Bible and say prayers, so this becomes an advanced problem.

May I tell her that she is mistaken, that she can only expect possibly anangel once in a while -- and perhaps instead there are other spirit creatures like demons there?
