This is truly an impressive accomplishment. However, the fact that information is translated does not make it truthful. For instance, from time to time, they get "new understandings". Hence, information previously translated in various languages and presented as the true was in fact false.
So, while we can acclaim the technical achievement and the good will of everyone behind this, the information itself can be questioned.

Most translated website in the world?
by disposable hero of hypocrisy inhttps://www.tomedes.com/translator-hub/most-translated-website.php.
i wonder if this is true.
lots of people commenting after the article about how it's proof of g#ds blessing.. so if jw.borg ever gets overtaken in the rankings does that mean the blessing has left the building?.

They probably realized that not enough people were actually listening to JW TV, so now, they are forcing it on them by assigning a timeslot to it in their meetings. -

Looking at the pics of Warwick... I'm chocked.
by StephaneLaliberte ini am truly chocked and baffled by the number of volunteers they got for this project; especially in the states.
looking at one of their articles on the matter, they stated that a large portion of the printing work was delegated to other locations than ny, thus, they did not need as much space as they did in ny.
also, it was stated that operation cost in nyc were expensive.

I guess somehow, I believed that much more people than this would be passively resisting the society. It is one thing to be quiet in order to avoid being looked down upon or even reproved. Yet, it is quite another to participate actively in all this. Both the people volunteering and the people giving them praises!
I’m just surprised by the amount of support they are all getting, even from those praising the volunteers. Unless many who do not even believe that crap just go with the flow and actually praise the volunteers without believing it.
For instance, my dad (ministerial servant) once told me: “Son, pioneers get all the praises and that’s fine. But most of us don’t want to be them. Most elders and ministerial servants aren’t pioneers. Why? Because we provide for the families and even, from time to time, for those pioneers! Don’t be a looser, go to school!
So, I sat there, hearing my Dad make talks about pioneering straight out of high school and at home, he was telling me the exact opposite.
But then again, I put myself in anyone’s shoes: What would I do if a brother told me in field service: “Hey I spent two weeks at Warwick!”? Can someone simply ignore that? Or respond with: “Oh that is nice.”, and change the subject? Or even ask: “Why?” If you do that to a volunteer, I suspect the conversation will become very ackward and you will land in that second school with two elders in no time.
What I am saying is that we could be surprised by the amount of people that appear to be supporting all this and in their heart, they don’t.

ignoranceisbliss, you are right that people going there are very happy... I remember when i participated in construction projects, it felt like I was in a giant playground for kids. And there was just something about working like an animal and get a good looking sister bring up some refreshments. I felt like THE MAN. But those were just weekends at a time, and I was single.
So, only two weeks at a time? Have you heard of brothers and sisters doing the "two weeks" more than multiple times? As for the accommodations, didn't the society rent out a motel near by for these volunteers?

Since they didn’t need that much space, they could have sold some buildings. Than, with the sale's profits, transform the other buildings you already own to suit your needs! Operation costs? I don’t understand. Electricity and water would roughly be the same price and they don’t pay property taxes; what am I missing here?
Instead, they sold EVERYTHING and build a MINI CITY right next to a lake! How is this reasonable?
The obvious reason is that they cached in on the sale of ALL these high value properties. So than, how can they feel justified to require so much time from these volunteers when they could pay for it all? How many of these volunteers have put a pause on their lives and that of their family to contribute to that project over 4 years??
http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20150115/offered-themselves-willingly-in-new-york/
Some of these people have visibly forsaken their retirement plans for something that was not absolutely needed. It is one thing to help your religion in need, I can understand that. But when your religion considers your as disposable income in its overall business strategy, that’s just wrong.
How can so many volunteers be oblivious to this? I am truly shocked! Even when I was ALL IN, I would not have approved this.
Heck, I could have understood a scenario in which the UN seized the NY properties and we would have built something somewhere else. But this?? Its capitalism barely hiding behind Theocracy.
Probably all this has already been covered, but for some reason, it just struck me harder today.

Hello questioningmyfaith. Religion, and in particular, Jehovah's Witnesses put a great deal of emphasis on their theology to such an extend that they are missing the most important commandment of all: LOVE. For instance, questioning teachings could set someone on a path where he will be "handed over to Satan" (dissfellowshiped).
Who lacks the love? The one who questions a teaching that may be subject to new light or the one that enforces authority over the conscience of his brothers and sisters in such a forceful way?
Is the GB inspired? No. Can they baptise with spirit? No. Do they perform miracles? No. And yet, they claim "True Religion" as theirs, condemning everyone else on the planet for not believing exactly what they teach. For instance, yesterday, on a forum, someone said: It is easy to identify the JW as the true religion, they are the only ones not to celebrate pagan holidays. This was my answer:
So tell me what is worse: Someone who is showing love to his family with hospitality, gifts and even giving to charity on Christmas, or the other who starts shunning his own parents or kids who do such things?
Honestly, would a God driven by love kill loving and kind person, along with his kids, simply for celebrating Christmas? When JW shun people for simple things like that, it is exactly what they are doing.
Besides, if Christmas was a deal breaker, then the JW were not selected as the "true" religion in 1919 since they celebrated that holiday up to 1928!
Please ask an elder in your congregation why it's not so bad that the JW celebrated this holiday until 1928 and than ask yourself: Why would all the arguments provided not apply to any other individuals today?

Also, just like the witnesses would advocate, try to win her over by your fine example. Be positive, happy, do good things for her, your kids(?), your family and friends. You used to spend at least 12 hours in that cult doing what ever? Don't waist that time now in front of the tv, do something productive with that time. Also, buy "Crisis of conscience" and leave it in a place you know she will see it.

I don't know why they spent so much time elaborating on the Mosaic law... they could have said: Hey were Christians and Jesus said two or three witnesses himself in Matthew 18:16!
I'm not saying that I agree with this, but this is the answer I was expecting from him or his goons and, to my surprise, no one gave it!

You know smiddy, I never thought of it that way, you're right! Why isn't Satan (and his demons) subject to sickness, growing old and dying like the humans for the very same sin?
