A JW kid story

she is twenty.. as a teen i was very aggressive in her getting taught from the live forever book, om.

she studied my book of bible stories and young people ask!

she was obediant and compliant.

It has been great to see how much she's getting past the JW experience and moving on with life. I personally know it's hard being a kid in that congregation, as I also felt like the outcast, the one that didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the youth there.

You should be very proud of her......I sure am.

How FAST can you type?

i remember in high school, i was able to type at 40 words per minute after counting my errors, and they way they counted it, if i remember well, was your total words minus the errors you made to give an approximate speed.. here is the test.

it's only a fun quiz so don't be mad if i type faster than you .

Hypothetical scenario...

the "judicial loophole" thread gave me a thought- what would happen if someone faded a la moving far away but then later decided to start all over again and pretend to know nothing about jws and go through the motions of becoming a jw again?

would there be a record of your first baptism on file at hq?

if so, what if you deny that it's you, that someone else just has the same name?

Good scenario to consider, especially since it's something i've pondered over myself.

As was stated though, I don't see why anyone would want to go back. There's no way i'd ever go back if I were in that situation.

Theocraptic Misery "School(??)"

As far as "graduating" is concerned, you do graduate if you become an MS. No more 2's and 4's.

From what I understand, the MS and Elders will now be giving alot of the # 4's starting next year. More busy work for them.

"Literature Sales 101" is what I call it.

I must admit though, the TMS has actually been on of the best things to happen in my life. I used to be extremely shy and got out of that quickly after ~~being forced to join~~ enrolling in the ~~school~~ course.

It did seem though that they tried to dumb it down a bit to get more enrollment.

Pioneer brother carjacked and shot dead in New Jersey - where r the angels?

i heard this from a friend who attended a meeting last week.. .

the speaker said that two months ago he heard of a pioneer brother in new jersey who was carjacked and shot dead after he tried to run away.. anyone confirm this?.

i always shuddered when i heard of witnesses being killed in unnatural ways, especially while out on the ministry - where the hell were the angels flying in midheaven when he needed them?.

I don't have my WT cd-rom at the moment and it's not saved to this computer, but I recall many WT articles that say that the angels are out when JWs are door-knocking, but that it should be expected that some tragedies may happen for the sake of the good news. However, the entire organization will never be destroyed. I don't have the exact wording but that's the basic idea.

So basically, they have given themselves a safety net in saying that things like this should be expected, but you will never have to worry about all 6 million plus JWs getting wiped out.
