  where are my fellow tennessee fans here on jwd?.

  i'm glad tennessee got in this year even though i was hoping florida would, but tn is my next favorite team so it's good.

  Have You Ever Rejected Being Appointed an Elder/MS Before the Announcement?

  when i was a jw several brothers (ms) told me in private that the elders had asked them several times if they did not want to become an elder.

  they said they rejected because it was too much responsibility for them.

  were you ever approached that the boe wanted to make you an elder but you refused?

  Maybe it was the COs personal opinion.

  Perhaps it was. The Org is hurting for those willing to be used in these positions, and they should be happy if someone just wants to be an MS without being presured to move further up the WT corporate ladder. They can miss out on alot of them by using force.

  A CO said if you do not want to become an Elder you cannot be a MS either because you have to reach out.

  I've never heard that one before. I guess that rules out the possibility of one being a career ministerial servant.

  I walked away from it all 6 months ago.

  I my father is baptized and I have an aunt is as well. My mother is an unbaptized publisher. I actually lost another friend yesterday over this. I guess that's what usually happens when most of your JW friends are hardliners. I have one close friend in the org now, but i've never expressed any doubts to him.

  this is the best virtual and international KH that i've ever been to.

  I don't know if you would want to call this place a virtual KH.

  I wish you the best on your goals...definitely give your best in school. Be careful about the questions you put to those in the organization. Play it smart.

  This is one I stumbled across recently. It's not as good as Kostritzer in my opinion, but it's still pretty darn good.
