One potentially big problem: Once, you needed to report at least 10 hours a month, as an average, for the past 6 months in order to be eligible for missionary work. With this, all you need is to check the "Yes" box for having participated in field circus for the past 6 months, and how are they to know it was for 30 seconds or 200 hours you preached each of those months?

And the jokehovians are going to make these mandatory, starting with those in positions in headquarters, then in missionaries, and those going to the "schools(??)", then the hounders and assistant hounders, and eventually everyone? You wish to pious-sneer, you will have to get the cancer shot. You are going to an a$$embly, you need a shot. You wish to be a hounder, you need a shot--and eventually they will have a deadline where everyone will need the torture shot or get disfellowshipped. Yet, cancer sticks are still banned.
You ban cancer sticks for polluting and defiling your body, I will also not get a torture shot that is at least 20 times more effective at defiling the body.

Meetings were bad back then.
by Rattigan350 inmeetings have always been bad.. if paul had to "command" people to not forsake the gatherings, the meetings must have been really bad.. considering that jesus said in matt 18:20 "for where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there i am in their midst.”".
and then in matt 11:28-30: "come to me, all you who are toiling and loaded down, and i will refresh you.
take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for i am mild-temperedi and lowly in heart, and you will find refreshment for yourselves.

Jesus at the meetings? No wonder these boasting sessions are so lousy, with that hyper-abomination. The archetype of the perfect slave--who would want that thing?

sinning against the Holy Spirit question
by enoughisenough inlet's assume that the bible is god's word and the men who wrote it were borne along ( inspired ) by holy spirit.
if one sets out to deliberately malign the bible, would that be considered a sin against the holy spirit?.
-
WTWizard
Sin against this foul and odious spirit is actually renouncing that abomination and not deliberate sin. And they do it so people will continually be bound to that abomination of a spirit they call "holy".
Which it is anything but holy. You want to help enslave the whole world? This "holy(??)" spirit is your helper in that project.

No weapons signs at halls
by road to nowhere ini noted the little sign by the doors.
that said, they had 3 people tagging my beard, but a dressed shaved person would not be noticed.
a jacket is well suited to covering a gun butt, i know.
-

And you suppose those who will do a mass shooting are going to obey those signs? By publicly disallowing weapons, you are advertising the place as safe for anyone to do this. On the other hand, if people did carry weapons and someone attempted a mass shooting, there is a chance they will be shot before doing too much damage. And it would send a message that it is not safe to do mass shootings.
And no, shooting up the place is not going to accomplish anything more than serving to ballyhoo those who went to the boasting session, trusted in the beady-eyed monster thing they call a god, and add more energy for that thing to do its thing. Which is precisely what you do not want.

An analysis of the recent 153rd Gilead Graduation talk by Jesse Morris (member of the US Branch Committee and son of Anthony Morris III)
by jwleaks inarticle from the last days newsletter (june 5-11, 2023).
it has been said that by reading the watchtower and awake!
magazines, along with other publications of jehovah’s witnesses, a person will receive, over a period of years, a considerable and broad education.. …would you like to grow in knowledge, obtaining an education of even much greater value than can be received in any college?
-
WTWizard
A broad education, my eye. These rags are biased in everything they "teach", often teaching lies and intentionally missing many topics. You might get a rag with a few pages on a country in Africa, but is it complete? Or does it simply tell how well the "work" is going on in that area? What are the native people like there? What is the native vegetation? What about the animals there? Nothing.
Or do they try to discredit things in those rags? What about evolution? It might sound impossible, until you realize that evolution (and the chemistry involved) follow extremely strict rules that make those long odds much shorter. And what about various fields of astronomy, such as what we have had for about a year with that space telescope? I bet the washtowel rags will deliberately omit that, since these images prove that planets exist outside our solar system, that many of those planets are inhabited (the artificial lights can be directly observed by this telescope), and that the universe is far older than the Big Bang.
I would say that the "education" you get from those rags is about grade 3 or 4 level, and very biased. No math. Bogus science. Biased geography. Very limited literature. Biased and limited history. And yes, pro-coronavirus shots for everyone regardless of that the real science is proving these hazardous to your health--and defiling the body at least 20 times worse than a 2 pack a day cancer stick habit (which is banned). Education?

Confirmed: CO Discourages Zoom
by XBEHERE ini can confirm that the co during one of his service talks stated that zoom is a provision for elderly, infirmed, as well as people who might need it on occasion due to health reasons, otherwise you are expected to be in person at meetings and in the ministry.
this had to come down from the top.
maybe they do not want to put it in a gb update or broadcast since that would be too public i suppose.
-
WTWizard
And what about those situations where it's either Zoom or nothing? Try driving 75 km each way to a boasting session, especially during a moderate snowstorm. Or, if your work schedule is too tight to make an in-person boasting session but you could do one on Zoom. True it would be a waste of Zoom space, but that is way better than a waste of gas and time driving to the boasting session venue.

Jesus could not have died on Friday Nisan 14
by Hacche inanother reason that jesus trial before pontius pilate and his being nailed to the stake was not on the same day, as watchtower teach, is found in two scriptures.
john 19:14 says, now it was the day of preparation of the passover; it was about the sixth hour.
and he said to the jews: see your king.

To me, this hyper-abomination called jesus didn't die at all, since that thing was never alive at all. Problem solved.

July 2023 Study Article 29: Are You Ready for the GT (part 3)
by blondie inhad to take a break to get my chores caught up; last section: strengthen your love.
this implies that any jw had "real" love or knew what it was outside the wts definition.
many jws just perpetuate the type of love they were show in their congregation.

And what about those they dislike for a reason, usually because they are abusive? They are supposed to submit to such abuse--including those who are excessively judgmental as a habit? This is why I didn't like working with certain "brothers", who would invariably be the same ones that would show up 15 minutes late and bust up arrangements that were already made. Or those who never accepted any partial solution to real problems as valid.
I would have been better off under coronavirus. At least those are not judgmental.

Then what good does it do to pray to that thing? Just so joke-hova can use you up any way it chooses, and doesn't give a **** how you feel about it. Instead of being able to produce anything for yourself or leave anything good behind, you waste your life spreading a worthless message that, unless you give up everything, you will be destroyed.
Do the jokehovians do anything useful? They pray for joke-hova to clean up the earth, yet they waste resources (polluting in the process, putting plastics in the ocean and carbon dioxide and other pollutants in the air) in field circus. They pray to that abomination for a paradise on earth. Yet, how many jokehovians as much as clean up a single piece of plastic on public land? When is the last time they have spent an afternoon cutting down the Chinese or Japanese wisteria, porcelain berry, kudzu, oriental bittersweet, bamboo, and whatever invasive species are along the side of the road? Or planting native trees and bushes that would help the environment?
Or, is joke-hova really going to do anything? Rather that thing wants us to be miserable, and obviously it will not answer prayers for personal fulfillment, even if such would help humanity and/or the environment. Just keep following that beady-eyed monster thing, and blindly trust it. You will simply be enslaved, and you will have done nothing. In the meantime, that beady-eyed monster thing will simply use those invasive vines (and yes, poison ivy and ragweed for those in Europe or Asia) to choke off native vegetation, further ruining the environment--that you prayed for it to fix?
