they don't perform enough charitable work for their local community .
at a time where the tax avoidance of large businesses such as google ,ebay,amazon and starbucks is under serious question in britain ,the charities commision's investigation into this little church's charitable status comes as no surprise .the 2006 charities act forced charities, often at high cost, to 'demonstrate' value to society .so far being a christian church automatically exempt you off taxes ,this is not the case anymore .

so many explanations to jesus words.. they were buying time, the end had to come at any moment, 1941... 1975... before the end of the century.... but at the last moment this cultish doctrine back fired on them... the number of the originals kept growing... these "divinely" (self) appointed group who wrote countless letter of bible interpretation to gods headquarters kept increasing.

A very good summation Cyber, put in the blunt and concise way you have, it is so easy to see that those at the top, the majority of the G.B included, are just cynically trying to perpetuate their cash-cow, and therefore their comfortable, privileged lifestyle.
It is patently obvious that the cadre at the top of, and in control of, the W.T do not believe any of it, they simply wish to control the R&F for their own ends.
There is no other word for it, when you think of the lives they ruin , and worse, snuff out, that word is EVIL.
excellent post, and I believe they lost the plot ages ago, and just want to keep their control by doing this they keep their easy life style while the rest of the slaves work their butt of to pay for their evil rules that brought on the millions of dollars having to be paid out to child sexual abuse victims and gag orders to silence them, from blowing the whistle, they have caused the suicides of other JW that have been mistreated, stumbled lost the only life they have known to be thrown out into the world ignored by the only friends and family they have ever know.
Time will catch up to these evil men and their self appointed position. God is not one to be mocked.

yes well she has here own agenda and its political, the opposition leader Abbot is a devout Catholic, and while he does not object to a royal commision, it was Abbott that sugested that not only the Catholic Church be investigated but ALL DENOMINATIONS, which is great because that would include JW.

It is OFFICIAL they want MORE MONEY : NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
by raymond frantz ini just came back from the meeting .although the local announcements have been abolished recently as an item for the second part , an elder came on the platform to announce that the society needs more money and there is a letter on the noticeboard for all the congragation to read to this effect.
although the announcement was read half heartedly (this elder's daughter is an apostate ,it looks like he knows what's going on) the implictions are dramatic .
the society in brief,requests any brother or sister with funds sitting on personal accounts to loan them to the society ,he didn't go into any specifics but i will take a picture of the letter next time and make it available here .. i'm not amazed that they're asking for money ,i thought it will happen sooner or later .what i'm amazed is that 99% of the congragation are oblivious to the financial crisis that the society finds itself these days and the reasons why .i can see the future now .the watchtower will be the fist part of the babylon the great to go down in a blaze of scandals and financial troubles !.

nearly half the brothers I know are window cleaners, working for brothers that are window cleaners, very rare an elder is a window cleaner, most seem to have their own buisness work for themselves, have mortages, or own their own home.
