What about elderly sistas with facial hair?
by hamsterbait inwell let's face it they make a fuss about panty hose, skirts, i was even counselled for sitting with my knees apart.. why should old women be allowed to wear men's (lesbian) short hair and beards too?.

Got a new Blackberry yesterday
by coffee_black inmy company just got many of us a new blackberry curve.
it will take me ages to understand all it can do... camera, video, email, internet, maps, contacts...sheesh..it goes on forever, not to mention the phone and instant messaging..... i keep pushing the wrong button when someone calls...so i disconnect... or get an email and think it's a phone call and try to answer it... and oh...the tiny tiny keypad!.
i'll catch on eventually.... all i can say is that technology has come a very long way!.

Favorite Xmas Tunes?
by undercover insomeone started a thread asking everyone's favorite xmas movies.. how about favorite xmas music/songs?
even when i was an active jw i had a soft spot for certain xmas music.
the standards, the jazzy ones, the rocknroll ones.. while i like a lot of different ones...i even collected my favs onto a playlist that i keep for this time of year...there are a few that really stand out as my favs.

Witnesses Who Talk To The Dead
by minimus indid you ever see a witness talk to the dead?
when "prominent" jws pass away (and they don't have the heavenly hope) it is not uncommon to speak publicly about them as if they were still there, able to hear them.. a very prominent elder who was used by the society as a fill in co amongst other things, died and the district overseer gave his funeral talk which actually was a eulogy!
he said, while raising his eyes to the heavens, "jim, we'll miss you!"..

Can't say I have ever witnessed that! Though most witnesses wear black at funerals. Found that odd, and why bother crying if you believe the resurrection?
