Anyone Live Near Hollywood BLVD in Los Angeles?
by FiveShadows inokay, so .....i got a ticket =/ i was going 45 ... i was rushing to see the new play 'wicked' ...based off the wizard of oz etc.. it started at 8 and well it was 8:01. cop pulls me over and says 'you know your going 45 in a 35 zone?
' ...he gives me a ticket and since i was in a hurry, i just signed it and took off to the parking lot (which happened to be 2 blocks away grrr) anyway.
i look at the ticket and it says that the speed limit was 30!

Okay, so .....i got a ticket =/ I was going 45 ... I was rushing to see the new play 'wicked' ...based off the wizard of oz etc.. It started at 8 and well it was 8:01. Cop pulls me over and says 'you know your going 45 in a 35 zone?' ...he gives me a ticket and since i was in a hurry, i just signed it and took off to the parking lot (which happened to be 2 blocks away grrr) anyway. i look at the ticket and it says that the speed limit was 30! ...but when he told me he said it was 35? ...now i don't live in LA ...does anyone know the speed limit on Hollywood blvd and Orange way? by the Pantasia Theatre area? I'm not sure if i should fight this or not. I mean five miles can add up to my gas money for the next 2 weeks for school. Anyone know anything that might be able to help me in this situation? I live an hour away from LA so i'm wondering if someone that lives close by can tell me what the speed limit is? or a website that i might be able to look at? i looked but didn't find anything that might have the speed limit on there. So i don't know. Is it silly if i fight that the speed limit was 35 not 30 with proof? if it is indeed that? Is there a 'falsification speed limit' that might throw out this speed limit entirely? lol i don't know anything about the law. anyhoo...any help is appreciated...thanks

p.s. does traffic school have to be completed BEFORE the day your suppose to appear in court? how can you know if your ellidgable for traffic school or not?

i am completely confused and need to be able to speak to someone about what i'm hearing out of all these other bands playing and be able to answer why they sound bad, besides what they actually think is a 'song.
' it's not just the song that sucks, it's almost as if there's a lacking of a clean, crisp clarity.

Holy crap dude, that's awesome! ..okay, lots of info...very much appreciated! i'm starting a band, We're short a bassist right now. The drummer has had experience playing in clubs, but i don't know to what extent. I am the vocalist actually. The place I practice has it's own PA system. We're already planning on purchasing our own PA system. Which is why i wanted to know, should I stick with SM58 or move on ...to Neuman? The information you gave me is awesome and will definately will be referred back to from time to time. We're not trying to make money, actually, to the contray we just want to make music and see what we come up with. So far we're doing some covers..such as Pearl jam's "Black" and also aiming for other stuff. We have ideas for three songs already without vocals right now. We're not trying to make it big or anything. This is just a hobbie in addition to our separate careers.

Okay, here's the deal: I need someone who is very well educated in the field of microphones and PA systems and musical equipment. I am completely confused and need to be able to speak to someone about what i'm hearing out of all these other bands playing and be able to answer why they sound bad, besides what they actually think is a 'song.' It's not just the song that sucks, It's almost as if there's a lacking of a clean, crisp clarity. I'm thinking about getting a Shure SM58 microphone or maybe a Shure Beta 57A ...i don't know. I was wondering if someone could perhaps help me understand some things I need behind these things. The sound that i'm hearing on all these practice rooms is a almost like a muffled sound. I'm not sure what equipment professional musicans use in order to have that...really nice...clear without echo ....SHARP sound that is produced through the microphones (live of course). Not that muffled 'mmmm' (not a humming) ...i don't know...this would be better over the phone to talk about but..anyway: What equipment wound be best suited for the clear/ clean/fresh/sharp sound so I may be able to purchase it. I understand that this could cost thousands, so ...please people clarify what is going on and help lift my confusion. I'll be able to speak on the phone or exchange emails so I can understand.

I have a LVN license but i'm fed up now. i'm tired, exhausted and need some help. Does ANYONE know ANY LVN-RN bridge program I can do in Southern CA? I've about given up on looking for that stuff online ...I am up for any RN's, in the Southern CA region that might've done this, that could help direct me which school that they attended and etc..

It is just me or was the memorial off by a day?

i'm aware that one year back in the 90s, the society actually was off the memorial date by one day.
as i came out of the organization, the brother who left with me was talking to me about it and said 'i remember one year it was off by a day.

As i came out of the organization, the brother who left with me was talking to me about it and said 'i remember one year it was off by a day.' Now i've tried looking up online how to calculate, but i'm not sure how the society calculates the memorial day? How do they do it? and how is it erroneous, if it is? Now, if they did infact have it wrong ONE year...then have they been using that ONE date ever since and been off since that one year? or do they recalculate every year before the memorial occurs? Cause if they calculate off of the day of previous years' memorial...then ever since the 90s, it's been off by one day. My other non-exwitness friends are saying that March 21st at sundown was infact the correct memorial date, ... And some of the stuff i've looked online confirms this, but i want to be sure. Can anyone help me understand?

they don't have to be real, they can be cartoonish... something like a women in tears while the witnesses throw her out...or something like that...i will have to have a link to give it credit on my work cited page or else i can't really use it.
the only other way i can see that working is if you were to include your name or the original artists name , that way i can include it under work cited as 'painting 1 by john smith' or whatever...the pictures can be sad, depressing, painful, ...just as long as they're pertaining to the issue of disfellowshiping.
