How do you like your steak?
by FiveShadows inwhen i was a jw...i just got baptized on my sixteenth birthday...i was thrilled and excited ...i went to iowa to visit a sister who i had a close relationship with.
when i got there...i was given entry into a brother's house where they were having a huge bbq where steaks were on the grill...and the brother made four steaks...and set one steak aside for himself and declared it was his.
i asked why ...he said "cause i like my steak medium rare.

i wasnt aware of this...i do apologize if i have stumbled anyone in anyway...i am not saying it's wrong to eat meat...or it was wrong for the brother to eat his steak that way...the problem i had was that this brother...if his mother or daughter or son in the future was in the hospital...he would refuse the hell out of getting a transfusion...even at the expense of their and/or his life...yet he'll be perfectly happy to eat a steak..medium rare. Is it just me? ~FS

WHAT'S THE WORST SCANDAL YOU KNOW OF?
by minimus insome here have been privy to certain scandals such as pedophilia in your congregation.
we have never had such a scandal in our area that became well-known.
one of the worst scandals i've heard was that of how 2 elders terrorized an entire congregation.anybody that disagreed with them, was considered disloyal.

The Worst MISTAKE/SCANDLE ever is when the counsel of Nisa sat down and decided to make "The Word of God" ...failing to realize that the real "Word of God" and the ONLY "Word of God" is Christ (John1:1, John 1:14, John 17:17 John 14:6,revelation 19:13) Ever since then People have FAILED to "Test out the inspired expression" (1 John 4:1-4) and just taken the BIBLE as if it never had any "opinions" or "inexperienced teachings." All SCRIPTURES are inspired of God but not ever verse in the bible is a scripture. That is why we are told to "test out the inspired expression to see if it comes from God or not" (1 John 4:1-4) ...This "Disfellowship" thing going on for the past 2000 years...even with the catholic church and everything...is certianly not loving. Motive is everything...if someone is forced to get reinstated ebcause they lost their friends and family...that isn't repentance...that's just loosing family and friends...if they recieved all this back (family and friends)...they still would not be repentant. One must REPENT out of the goodness in their HEARTS in order to be truely repentant. But the disfellowshiping within itself is a LIE spread. Christ never shunned anyone...infact those that were thrown out of the synagogue and away from the Pharisees Christ went to them. Also John chapter 8:1-12 speaks abotu someone who was CAUGHT in th e ACT of adultery...and what was Christ's words? "Let he that is sinless be the first to throw a stone." Men cannot judge anyone or anything...and yet they still do...this has caused much turmoil and pain. I was disfellowshiped for reasons that make no sense. I was accused of apostasy yet disfellowshiped without a trial. "Let He that is sinless be the first to JUDGE ME"

I looked at the steak and poked a hole in it..and there was blood still there...he said "yeah that's the way i like it".... i found a little voice in my heart saying "What happened to all the brothers and sisters that died because the society strictly said that you cannot have blood transfusions? And even having a needle going into your arm giving you blood is like "eating blood" ..." I remember thinking this...i never said anyting...another interesting point Crisis of Conscious had brought out was that when speakin gin regards BLOOD and to ABSTAIN from it...it STRICTLY was speaking about blood of ANIMALS!...to save a life by using another person's blood ...is acceptable i believe by Jah...After all...your life is in YOUR BLOOD (So they say). And if that is the case "there is no greater love than this..that one should surrender his LIFE in behalf of his brother" ...Any comments anyone? ~FS

by FiveShadows inok...i went to the edge about my music selection...and i'm trying to change it not because an elder or brother is telling me..but because i'm trying to get away from the "aggressive" "anger" sounding music such as rock...metal and all that junk...this is a personal decision and i am not a jw anymore from those that can remember...but my question to all the freaks geeks and streakers out there...i'm starting to get into alice deejay music...trance...does anyone else know of any good trance artists?
the "metallica" of trance music besides alice deejay.

she was 'in on' her own rape, thus she too is just as guilty as her rapist.

ANYONE TRY HYPNOSIS?
by Mary ini'm considering trying hypnosis to help me win my everlasting battle with weight, but naturally i have feelings of guilt because we were told as jws that we cannot use hypnosis....... .
anyway, has anyone here ever tried hypnosis?
i would be interested in hearing if it helped you at all.

i do not believe hypnosis is "demonic" as the organization says it is...however just a up bringing of your deepest parts of the subconscious mind. I however do not believe that i would give someone ELSE control of this area..but only Christ. There IS self-hyponosis...that works fairly well if you are interested. There's many books on this topic. Go to Abebooks.com and find whatcha need. Hope this helps. ~FS
