I would be really discombobulated if this is a bona fide JW site.
I cannot see the WTS doing this, ever.
Wouldn't be surprised if it is taken down soon

last week in my kh there was a resolution put before the congregation.. i forget what it was for but it involved some expenditure from the .
congregation account.. i have sat through many of these but i have never seen a dissenter.. i felt like dissenting but i never put my hand up when it was asked if anyone .
does not agree with the resolution.. what happens if someone does disagree?.

I guess the resolution will pass but what would happen to the Brother
who dissents?
Back room job?
Nothing?
Just wondering if this has ever happened.
so our dc is coming up and my level of anxiety and depression is through the roof.
i've been fading and have noticed that when i don't go the meetings, i'm happy, calm and positive, but when i do go, it takes at least a week to recover.
so the prospect of three straight days has me in an absolute panic.
I try to use the DC as a chance to sow some seeds of TTATT.
First I look for a Brother who I don't know and strike up a conversation.
After all we are encouraged to do that as the gap between the sessions is
roughly an hour and a half.
After the initial greetings , where are you from, when did you come into datroof etc
I say isn't the assembly the most appropriate place to have a spiritual discussion.
They can't deny that.
I try to suss out how they feel about the noolight and so on.
Depending on the response I can usually tell if there is an opportunity to go
a bit further and test out the water so to speak.
There are usually two kind of reactions
1. Total blankness and by the book responses like " well we have to follow what the FDS
tell us don't we....blah, blah.
Time to say well nice meeting you, enjoy the rest of the assembly
OR
2. Some glimmer of ...well I was thinking that too ...kind of look.
Time to spread TTATT...
I usually use the session time to think how can I do this and what I could say
to others. I make notes to myself as it looks like I am diligently following the speaker.
In this way I find that I can endure the three days of "joy" and avoid getting angry, depressed, or
any other negative feeling that comes up.
Try it.
so on friday all day, the mic guy did a bang up job.....until david splane got to the podium.
it looked like he discussed how the mic should be set up for him, then finally when the mic guy was walking away david says " well im glad we got that settled".
then today same thing, he got the mic guy to readjust the mic for him again.
I'm sure that there must be a Brother somewhere called " Mike Test"
over the years i have had to deal with this problem personally and as a attendant covering my section at various convention centers.
i had people who were suppose to be decent jehovah witnesses pick up all the books, bags and coolers belonging to brothers and sisters who arrived at the appropriate time and picked them up and dumped them all at the end of the seating row.
so here is what goes down, the sister runs up to me panicking and saying "dear brother, i had all those seats reserved for my family and now look!
I guess this little story is not exactly related to stealing seats but seats are involved.
My father was a district convention coordinator and one duty he had was oveerseeing the guarding of the entrance
to what was called " Administration". Only those who had special permission could enter this area.
Being part of his family we were allowed to enter this " Most Holy". I remember the first time I did so,
I was quite shocked. Unlike the R& F, those allowed in this section had comfy armchairs, bone china tea cups
and access to toilets that were plush and clean, and food that was prepared especially for them.
Those using these facilities were of course the speakers
or visiting " big wigs" from Brooklyn.
From this comfy elevated area you could look out on the R&F walking about in the pouring rain, eating from plastic cups
lining up at the food tents eating from metal trays ( This was when food was provided at assemblies)
Looking back I realise this was one of the experiences that made me question the so called equality of brothers
Talk about differences of treatment. "We are all brothers" I thought to myself,
but just like animal farm, some Brothers are more equal than others.
I saw the smug satisfied look on the faces of those allowed the priviledge of using these facilites and actually made me
quite angry.
Needless to say I never wanted to enter that " administration" section again.
But it is true you can see such kind of "me first" attitudes
among witnesses when it comes to seat saving.

I got a good seat in an assembly, one that I could easily get up and go out for
a break when it all got too much.
I left my books, a Bible and a songbook + notebook on the seat, as was the custom.
Marking my place.
When I came back just few minutes later I found a sister not only sitting in the seat
but sitting ON the books.
I said to her... this is my seat..... but she didn't budge and I told her ....you are sitting on my books.
She reluctantly fished them out from under her but there was no move to give me back the seat.
So I said ...this is my seat, you know, the one I want to sit in to listen to the talks that's why my books were on it.
No budging.
Gave up... went off saying good grief..and tried to find another seat to my liking.
Couldn't, so I sat somewhere else muttering death threats under my breath.
Shouldn't have worried, I don't even remember what the assembly was about now.
i once attended a two day special assembly with my gums bleeding after having 4 widom teeth pulled the day before.
i managed the two days by rinsing out my mouth all day long and placing cotton in my mouth.. one brother had back surgery the week before but attended a two day assembly by laying on a matress in the back of the assembly hall.
why he needed to be there i'll never understand!.
I know of a congregation that uses skype to allow those
too sick to attend to get the meeting in real time.
I hope this idea catches on.
But I can still see this conversation between two Elders using skype.........
( cue music...)
Hey, Bro lowtech didn't skype for the meeting last night
Really, I wonder if he is OK?
Hmm, this is the third time that he hasn't skyped this month
and when he does he never skypecomments.
I think we need to have a skypemitte meeting about this.
Me too, we can't have Brothers skyping just willy nilly
Perhaps we should give him a skypeshepherding call first.
Well, I guess you are right,we need to show love to our Brothers
Maybe good for an assembly demo...

Even if you are dead you have to be at the meeting
does the universe have a collective consciousness?.
at the sub nuclear level of reality...we are all one.
at the core basis of the universe is a single universal field of intelligence.
I think a good question is to ask
"Is the Brother taking the WT study conscious"
Read para 1/ question/ answer( directly from the paragraph)
Read Para 2/ question/ answer ( directly from the paragraph)
Read para 3& 4 / questions / answer ( directly from the paragraph)
continue to end of study article........
How can someone be conscious and do this?
hi folks!.
someone told me that there is a rumor that soon the watchtower and awake's magazines will be only one (fusion).. anybody knows something concrete about that, or is only rumor instead?.
tj curioso.
In my congrgation the Brother explaining this "nesting" took about 5 mins
putting it in and pulling it out to show us exactly what it means.
I was thinking that the magazines have shrunk in size so when you hold it,
it feels like a pamphlet. So by "nesting" the AW inside the WT it feels thicker
and therefore gives some " weight" to the message.
Maybe they have been eating too many Domino's pizza at Bethel.
"Take one get one free"( But don't forget to ask for a contribution)
