  Scientists are hoping to activate genes in chickens that were active in dinosaurs

  in some small ways they already have. There have been documentaries where they demonstrate and show how and why they are accomplishing this and evidence at the embryonic level that it works.

  How can one dispute evolution when science proves it via this technique? they can turn a chicken back into a bird-like dinosaur!

  - Oh of course, "birds are just a different "variety" of dinosaurs! they didnt evolve, its just "variety", that's not evolution!"

  I guess Jehovah D-Loaded a free template for making varieties of birds & Dinosaurs. Kind of like an excel template you d-load online. Thats why when he created chickens there were latent dinosaur genes still there despite having no need to "create" them there at all. it was just a carry-over from an older model.....

  some witnesses are making sure they're ready for the great day.

  i've heard certain family members are getting supplies ready including 5 gallons of water, cans of food that can be opened without a can opener, and other "survival" stuff.

  they have figured that since the awake (i think) reported how the "friends" got ready for hurricane katrina, they too must be ready for survival when the storm of armageddon rains down.. what will they think of next?.

  7 Congregations in My Area, VT, MA, NH, Have Been Cut to 3!!!

  i got this verified today.

  seven congregations that were in my old circuits now are only three.. north and south gardner, ma were merged.. north and south claremont, nh were merged.. north adams, ma and bennington, vt were merged.. the wilmington, vt congregation was dissolved.. there has been discussion to merge the keene and swanzey, nh congregations, but there are some strong personalities among the two bodies of elders opposing that, so it is not likely to happen, though i hear that keene has got some big problems in its boe and very poor service, etc.. that's 9 congregations within about a 70 mile radius that are all seeing some serious trouble.. anyone hearing anything similar happening where they are?.

  The core problem that will lead to congregation closings in the future are that the bright elders, thinkers and leaders are backing away, stepping aside or wearing down. This leaves a group of leaders who possess no leadership qualities. The remaining individuals are neither thought leaders nor problem solvers. This most certainly will affect attendance at meetings, contributions and field activity overtime

  I have several friends (albeit conditional) that are elders. I like them, they are good people & I enjoy spending time with them. But I dont necessarily consider them "thinkers". Not that their stupid, but they just parrot the WT week after week.
  
  The "old School" elders used to be told to think for themselves, Freddie wrote that on several occasions, but that led to elders realizing the WTS was based on lies and the apostasy of 1980. After that the WTS clamped down on independant thought, you were not even allowed to think about questioning the BOrg (Albert Schroeder).

  The young elders today have never known a time when they were allowed to think for themselves, they dont know how because they never have. They dont even know how to think about questioning it, they just parrot - week after week - in mind-numbing apathy.

  The benefit of this is that many "next generation" elders dont take "the truth" all too seriously and like to party - hence my friends!

  any elders that are "thinkers" would learn all too quickly to BOrg is Bullshit............

  The Society argues (never mind about fractions) that the blood must be treated in a similar way as pouring it to the ground covering it with earth; blood banks violate this command of God. But the Society does not ever show why atonement must be made -- as pouring the blood to the ground makes atonement for taking another's life.

  exactly.

  this ritual is showing respect to God for taking a life that he created. "giving it back" to Him. There is nothing to give back if the donater did not die. Nothing to "atone" for.

  I hope one day the GB members are personally held criminally responsible for all the people and children they have murdered. Yes the GB are not men of God, they are murderers & liars. I suppose the Heavens Gate leader would burn in Hell if it existed for murdering its own members with a lie. The GB has murdered countless more via blood prohibition, but if there is a god they will no doubt share his same fate..... Heavens gate took Vodka and barbituates, JW's deny medical treatment using whole blood.

  actually...i am just hoping that mo/betta sex is just a huge fringe benefit (really hoping that!!!!!!!

  ) ......i may start going one or two times a month........and it was an idea handed to me by my friend bonnzo here.

  he is a great guy all around....who loves his old pioneer mom enough to keep going to the meetings a bit instead of doing what we would both like to and walk away......actually we both would probably prefer that all our family and friends walked away and then it would not even be like walking away.

  She will start asking you why you dont want to go to the meeting tonight, then when you say because the WTS is a man-made cult that has nothing to do with God or Christianity she will be more difficult with you than before.

  when all JW logic fails and falls flat on its face (as it ALWAYS does) the #1 reply of JW's is the infamous - "IT'S SATAN!!!"

  The beauty of this "logic" is that it cant be proven or disproven. If a JW (or anyone) denies that it is indeed Satan doing whatever it is they need to blame on him, then by default that JW has weak faith. Anything else they say no longer has any merit as they are weak and dont even know that Satan has blinded them.

  Its very sad to see intelligent people succumb to this side-step. The WTS has done a good job copying Catholicism with this control tactic.
