reading all the threads about ideas of this weekend announcement = the big announcement!
so is it true its only going to be about not doing private home book studying ?
l wonder how many are going to accept it because they (the wt) says so or will there be a lot of people asking why.7 how many jw's know what the announcement is going to be 7 we live in a country where we can have bible study's with anyone who wants.

i can see the wtbts moving towards getting bible studies for potential members out of privacy and into an arrangement where they'd be monitored a bit....like tuesday nights at the kingdom hall, kind of like study hall in school w/ a elder moderator to come in on any questions that the jw can't answer.

are very fond of saying that appostates who post on the internet are like satan in eden hiding their identity just like the devil who used the serpent.. this begs the question why do the awake and watchtower writers need to hide behind the printing presses of the evil tower, what are they ashamed of or more to the point what is the govening body frightened of ?.
maybe the book club and rip off society are guilty of identity theft in not declaring the names of their writers..
maybe it's to retain full copyright control so they won't be able to sell the articles or research to secular magazines.
they must have a NDA with the writers or something similar to keep them in check....anyone have the inside scoop on that?
the much looked for (or so it seems) announcement coming to the finale of a watchtower study near you, may just be the thing about the book study and if so due to the time of year it is (at least in the northern hemisphere) it would make a fine opportunity for one and all in the congregation to meet say 6-6:30pm to participate in the field circus.
that way more people would be a home and therefore there would be more people to (irritate) talk to.
who knows, whatever it is, if it is in fact a change, it won't be for the betterment of the rank and file publisher.

and only a few years ago was the book study all a set up for when the great trib comes b/c that's the only way they'd be able to meet.....so, in theory, it should be the last thing to go from that absurd logic.
not to minimize the pain of 9/11, but couldn't they have missed the wtc and hit the wtbts buildings by accident...empty of course b/c i'm not one for needless murder, even of those who are racist and believe that anyone not believing exactly as they do will be murdered by god himself.
i was during last weekend in oslo, norway, to have an apostate meet-up.
we had the purpose of creating a new apostate association in norway.
however, guess if we didn't run into a jw-stand right next to a scientology-stand in the city centre (the text on the poster translates: "what happens to us when we die?)!.

having received a copy of the new watchtower library cd, i decided to do a comparison of what actually changed with the updated revelation book.
i was expecting some significant changes with some 'new light' for the 'trumpet blasts' or other 'important' stuff, but in all, i thought the changes were mostly quite mundane, though some seem a little crafty for different reasons.
any thoughts.... throughout.

they are so pathetic, slipping the verbage of the current political climate in there, like it was there all along and they thought of it....and united states political climate since they're so out of touch with real world shit going on.

california is a very large state with many different regions.
even within los angeles and san francisco, people are different in the different neighborhoods, and the suburbs have their own culture. within san francisco city limits, the population is 3x that of the country of Iceland.
even the jws are different from area to area, to the point where it feels like a different religion since i bounced around a lot of congregations when i was 'in'.
my son asked a jw girl if she would go to the prom with him and she flat out said no!
what the hell jw cant go to prom.
where can i find more on this?
it's another tactic to keep the jws (aka, the ones who aren't going to be murdered by god at armageddon), away from them worldly people (who will be brutally murdered any minute b/c they're not jws).
there's absolutely no balance, if it's a 'worldly' function, they assume it's an orgy with drugs and alcohol.....then they finally get old enough to throw parties themselves and it's drunken amateur hour, stuff they should've gotten out of their system years before.
oh, don't get me started.
i snuck out to a couple of dances, one i got caught and extremely busted for.
i got asked to a homecoming dance by a girl i really liked. i just had to say 'no'. it was heart wrenching. blame the parents, the kids are barely keeping it together with the constant propaganda they're getting at their 5 meetings a week.
our special assembly day at bristol assembly hall has just finished.

you could be at the door of the least popular munger in school, but overwhelmed with envy because, hey, at least he was doing something normal.
in 8th grade, at the peak of childhood self-consciousness, i knocked on the door of a super popular, rich, "in" kid from my class and he answered the door.
amen to that, definitely child abuse. the last thing that a kid needs is to feel more isolated than they already feel.
