Molested by JW who went to Bethel

i was molested by a jw.

he was a young man about 19 yrs.old and he went to bethel after molesting me and i was only about 12 or 13 yrs.old.

i have never told anyone because i was so afraid of being disfellowshipped for letting this happen to me.

so sorry that this happened within supposedly gods only true earthly organisation!!! I am new in this place too and so far the people are genuinely caring and will help in any way they can! I reckon the people on here are more friendly than some in congregations. Maybe most of us on this board are the ones that are too smart for the WTS teachings.

PS Almost finished Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz - anyone who hasn't read this must grab a copy (to the old members on here yes there is many of us new ones that haven't read this yet)

Help Needed on Problems with WTS

hi everyone, hope this finds you all well!

i am in the process of getting out, but could do with help.. i am wanting to know more of the doubts/concerns, cover ups/scandals and abuse etc.

i keep getting asked why i am no longer going but find it hard to have material to back up what i am saying.

Hey Guys n Girls,

thanks for all of your replies! Appreciate the web sites and all your comments. Have been involved with this org for 13 & 1/2 years since I was a child but never got baptized dispite the pressure. My parents never pressured me and have always said it needs to come from within. But the elders tried all the time. Not worried about parents shunning as I know they won't as I have seen them discreetly talking to d/shipped ones before. Any friends who end up shunning are not real friends.

I just want to give the elders hell, regardless of the consequences. And I have already told a couple of people in the org about the abuse. They just looked at me as if to say I was lying. How dumb can you get!!! I feel when we can we need to stand up and say that the whole thing is wrong and deceptive. I will not be afraid of a group of old men who are too scared to question their beliefs.

I might even sneak a voice recorder in when I speak to elders next. One elder has spoken to me and I mentioned about the abuse and just brushed it off but was sort of shocked and didn't know what to say at first. He said he would come back but never did - yet! LOL

Man I am getting obsessed with this stuff. I need to get a life - a new one.

brinjen, not sure how to take your comment!! Yes I know that the top left hand corner takes me to the discussions!really trying to get assistance with proving with facts some of the errors and was hoping for website links that back things up. Things like how 607BCE is incorrec as an example.

How did you feel when first posting on JWD?

i was in heavy doubt about the organization, but still in the back of my mind i was a bit hesitant of posting because it was the "unforgivable sin".

i think it took me 20 minutes to type my first post.

i still felt that once i submitted my post that a bolt of lightning was going to come down upon me, so my hands were shaking as i was typing.

Yeah I am a bit scared - what of I don't know!!! As you can see I am only a new one on here. Everything is messed up in my head at the moment. Trying to come to terms with everything that I have read and realise that WTS has been full of lies,deception and all the rest. Trying to to work out how I am going to move on in my life without the org in my life! Have ordered a copy of Crisis of Conscience - can't wait to read it. We need a WTS recovery centre - a bit like a rehab centre LOL. They have messed with our heads so much. No wonder JW's have a huge percentage of depression and other mental disorders. Know of primary school JW kids on nerve tablets - what the crap have they done to the young kids!!! I want answers and I want them now!!! Sorry everyone, but I feel like I need to vent my feelings. I have gone thru stages of shock, disbelief and now I am feeling a little anger. My thanks to you all for submitting to this site, you don't know how many new people it helps. well, this week marks two years since i stopped going to meetings!!

my last book study, i got up and walked out becasue i disagreed with the conductor about the whole pedophile, child rape thing.

not the societies policies that harm victims!

Hi Everyone,

Only new here. Just got out!! Was reading that one Australian doctor attended meetings for 8 weeks and was shocked when he discovered that the society is using a form of hypnosis! Not sure if you guys already knew this. If you are interested I will try to find the link over the next few days. How many people nearly fell asleep during meetings LOL. And drop the NWT.

It has only been a few weeks since I have stopped going. Could no longer go after finding out so many problems/issues/lies/abuse - man the list goes on. Told the elder why I am not going, mentioned about the sexual abuse cases,the mistranslation and a few other things. He didn't know what to say. Says he will come back and talk to me. LOL probably with two of them.

How many people used to be Elders and are now non-JW's??

Any tips on what to say to elder on how the WTS is wrong would be helpful.
