  one word to describe me

  i thought crumpet's thread was really interesting and that everyone was really supportive in their answers.

  then i thought about what words would describe me - i imagine lots of folks thought that.

  i used to have in my profile "short fat ugly old and mean" which was a joke but offended someone...currently i would described myself as tired and a little crabby and inclined to be unsympathetic, which was always my husband's complaint about me anyway.

  What she did was really lousy, and I'm sorry that you were hurt.

  She wanted to have her cake and eat it too.

  Many men do that, and it's almost acceptable as 'normal' in today's society.

  This young woman does it, tries to hide it, and tries to let you down easy (so you don't feel rejected) by fabricating a story.

  It seems like, all she wanted was out of the relationship with you without you getting hurt.

  She initially thought she wanted you on the side, and then she changed her mind and decided to try and make things work with her other boyfriend.

  I don't see an evil girl, just a young woman who was too scared to be honest with either of you.

  This story just made me so mad!

  i heard it on the radio last night.

  i was going to post it on the other 'should marijuana/cannabis be legalised' thread - but since this case involved alcohol as well, you can't be sure which 'drug' if either was a contributor to this sicko's actions.. i'm not going to post the full story here as some may find the details distressing.

  it basically involved a guy who had been smoking weed and drinking who denied a dying woman any dignity in her final hours.

  No amount of drugs or alcohol, would make someone with a heart and a conscience, urinate or otherwise humiliate another person.

  It's not the drugs or the alcohol, it's solely the subhuman asshole's lack of any empathy for a stranger.

  It's people like that who deserve to be behind bars. They have no conscience.

  ''Bring an end to all wickedness'' is much softer sounding than ''destroy''

  I agree with the poster who said it's an effort to be more mainstream by using language that is more updated.
