  what is supposedly resurrected at resurrection?

  this is an idea that really freaked me out when i was still "in".

  i asked it several times in groups of friends, and i would get two reactions: confusion/not understanding, and silence/looking at the ground.

  if you die, and your body disinegrates, and the soul doesnt live on; in fact, nothing lives on, then what is resurrected?

  They came out of the tombs and went into the city, those faithful men of old. You would think it would have been mentioned again by some bible writer. What do you think of that scripture?

  I forgot about that scripture.

  Why wasn't it mentioned again by other writers?

  Was it just fabricated? Who were those faithful men of old? Old as in Moses? David? Abraham?

  Or just old as in they died a few years ago and are now coming back to life?

  It would seem logical that they were not famous prophets that they received so little mention in the Bible.

  i'll start with "never do business with a jw".

  they will take advantage of you, "but brother".

  they will use your good credit, your good name, and then beg off on any deal you might have had, legal or on their word........................whose next?.

  I second that.

  I third that!

  I 4th that. Saw many being taken advantage of, paid shit wages, even stolen thousands of dollars from. There was only ONE brother that I would work for, (he became a witness 20 years ago for his domineering psycho JW wife). He overpaid all of his workers. Is the most generous man you could ever meet. He is now retired. Is an elder now too but without the ego or needing the power trip. He is my favourite jdub.

  Personal Development Milestone

  here's where i'm at presently, this has happened within the last two weeks and seems to get stronger.. - i see my life more objectively, and it doesn't bother me much.. - i don't care to read about religion, what's wrong with it, etc (i know it is and i don't feel that i need to keep preoccupying my mind with it).

  - i don't feel any anger or hostility towards jws or the wts in particular.. - i don't feel like my life was stolen from me, cause, you know, i was there, i lived it.

  (as i've mentioned before, lived it pretty damn well i have to admit compared with billions of other humans).

  I really enjoyed reading your post and I feel so happy for you for coming so far in a relatively short period of time.

  Good for you! You should be very proud of what you've accomplished mentally/emotionally at such a young age.

  So many are much older and still clinging onto their pain and bitterness, instead of understanding what you have realized

  -letting go of anger is not absolving that religion/parental upbringing of wrong doing-

  it is only about moving on with your life - replacing resentment with inner peace and happiness.

  You are finally free....

  Great movie!

  In all the cases in the Bible of ressurection (correct me if I am wrong), occur shortly after death...the daughter of that army dude in NT.

  The son of that widow brought back by elijah or elisha (I forget), Lazarus who was dead for a day? 2 days? (I'm going from memory here)

  I don't recall anyone being brought back from the dead that was already decomposed. It would make sense that by miracle, the cells could be regenerated back into life...(Heroes is a good show to illustrate regeneration)....

  but as for a body that where even the bones have totally gone back to dirt, all molecules that were once part of a human body now disintegrated and absorbed by insects, worms, fish (for the drowned) and excreted as feces...(yay we turn into poop)

  There is nothing left....so god would have to create ALL over again from scratch another human body. Spooky. No thanks.

  If the freemasons were smart,

  and I am assuming they are...

  they would make a docu giving a representation of their initation rites, etc, but change the important details...

  thereby keeping their secrets a secret and satisfying the curiousity of outsiders.

  For some reason, that docu scores a 9/10 on my bullshit detector...I don't why, but it just sounds like a comedy act.

  Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I hope to look it up online or see a rerun of it in the future.
