does he/it really exist to you?

since i've become more empowered in my fade.....i've been realizing satan is just a huge guilt tool used by religion in general.

at this point i believe 'he' doesn't exist...........

I believe he's a character in a fairy tale (it was the big dragon image that helped me see that!), who, incidentally, killed less people than God in the Bible!

When I first read this sentence, it was like a lightbulb going off...you are all absolutely right...Satan gets villified by religions as the a convenient scapegoat to explain why suffereing exists. Satan only killed 10 people, with God's permission of course, so really, who is the most evil character in the Bible? If you equate murder and rape with evil, humans and God himself should be considered the most evil.

We need a secret hand signal!

do you still go to the assembly just to laugh quietly inside?

wouldn't it be great for those of us that do still go to the assemblies and meetings,etc.

to have a secret signal that lets us know who we are?

I think we should just communicate using cell phones (texting) , (unless some do not want to share their number)...

I think this way is more discreet, and not too noticable to others(JW's), since everyone has cells phones now.

That way we can co-ordinate using our cells, and can come up with a plan.

What do you think?

for myself i'd have to say it was the close relationships with the people there, some i don't miss at all, but some i really do miss, like the kids that i grew up with .

during my childhood.

As a kid I miss running with a pack of other 11 yr old JW kids under the bleacher part of the seats at the convention during lunch break

Not all apostates are christian, so a cross might not be appropriate for everyone...good idea though.

It is true that not all of us could get a lapel badge,

I know I couldn't.

I'll come nicely dressed as a non-JW interested person.. and desguise myself so no one will recognise me.

Has anyone ever played with a ouija board?

this past weekend, we met a new couple in our campground, and the conversation soon came 'round to the supernatural.

the lady said she has had quite a few supernatural experiences, and that she plays her own home-made version of the ouija board.

my husband was all excited and begged her to play .

They don't have to be ''real'', you can even make your own homemade version, using carboard and ink, using a coffeetable with taped squares of paper with Yes / No, the alphabet, 0-9, and goodbye...and an upside down glass or anything else that moves smoothly across the surface. It's not the board medium that makes them work, it's whether or not there is a real spirit/demon present or not.
