  i'd like some constructive criticism/comments from you fine folks about my new blog, www.godless-heathen.com.

  it contains mostly rantings on religion, politics, science, from the atheist ex-jw standpoint.

  I may not be a libertarian, fully democrat, or fully republican, but I am independent. That's another way not being a libertarian is like not being a JW. I get to be independent. It's great.

  Idea for low-key Birthday celebration for a fader

  as you can see, i'm a few days from being 26 (which means i've been posting on here for a little over a year now), and i want to do something for it.

  problem is, i'm fading.

  anybody have ways they celebrated their birthday while fading?

  Does the JW mindset ever leave totaley leave you ?????

  i was 38 years in left 7 years i find myself still in the mindset sometimes maybe becouse wife and some family are still in but can you ever fully ''check out and leave"

  I've been out a year and I'd say it's pretty much left me. I find thinking on those terms to be repulsive.

  he was telling me that by 2020, none of "this" (the weeeerld) is going to be here, but it's still a good idea to have a 401(k) because you can use it for other things, like a down payment on a house or something.

  then he started talking about how he never thought he would retire, and now he's faced with it.

  i just kind of thought that was funny.

  He was telling me that by 2020, none of "this" (the weeeerld) is going to be here, but it's still a good idea to have a 401(k) because you can use it for other things, like a down payment on a house or something. Then he started talking about how he never thought he would retire, and now he's faced with it. I just kind of thought that was funny. He was just as sure he wasn't going to retire as he is I'm not going to, yet here he is, just around the corner from 65. It's funny how he didn't make the logical connection.

  Help! Want to use Linux

  i have a three year old laptop.. the disk got corrupted, and i don't have the windows reinstal anymore.

  god only knows where it went, and he's not telling.. i have decided that i want to just forget windows for this machine, and use linux instead.

  the learning experience could be fun, and instaling it and doing the necessary with the corrupted hard disk should be an interesting project.. i dont want to spend a fortune, but what software would i need if any to prepare the hard disk.

  Do you exercise or isn't that your thing.

  for the last 5 and 1/2 weeks i have been at the gym mostly twice a day except saturdays - i only have one training session.

  each of my sessions is at least an hour long but can go for two hours.

  i do various cardio in the evenings and do strength training in the morning.

  Exercise is not my thing, but I've been doing it for the last 10 weeks or so.
