That's OK Patio! Even though I am old enough to be a grandmother, I'm not one yet! Probably won't be one for a while...though I did have the priviledge of taking care of a quite precocious 3 yr. old girl for an afternoon not too long ago. It's fascinating how you can see parents ideas in kids.

That would be great if a Bible like that would be published.
I'm still trying to check the dates. Jehoram of Israel became king during the 18th reign of Jehoshaphat of Judah. It appears that Elijah took his chariot ride in between the death of Ahaziah, King of Israel and King Jehoram of Judah.
This Jehoram takes over being king of Judah from what I can gather, in 913 BCE. But later, while Jehoram is still king, Elijah sends him a message. So I figure Elijah's chariot ride was in 917 BCE. Jehoram ruled for almost 8 years, and died from a malady that Elijah told him would get. It appears he died in 906 BCE but was plagued with intense intestinal problems for 2 yrs. before that; and before that was still having intestinal problems.

Well, Patio, I replied to you comment in the "Why" folder yesterday. I was not making a deragatory comment on the political system, per se. Maybe I didn't express it correctly, but I was remarking on the ATTITUDES of groups and or individuals who are members of each political party. They oppose each other. There was a lot rhetoric being thrown about every day on these daytime cable news channels and the pundits from both sides trying to have the last word, outtalk each other and spin their political beliefs to the point of screaming. That was what I was commenting on.
I believe the gist of the exchange Tina and I were having were about attitudes. I was using the political arena as an example of what I have observed about humans no matter what ideologies they have.

Art School JWs?
by Stephanus insome years back i went to art school for a year, and life drawing was one of the subjects.
although the prospect of perving on naked women was at first appealing, it soon became evident that sex-drive is a left-brain function while drawing is strictly right-brain.
iow, drawing naked people was just plain hard work, and it was the only thing that was hard!

Stephanus, personally, I have never seen an articles like that.

dedalus:
I did know one sister with a real talent for painting, though. Alas, last time I spoke with her she was feeling too guilty about not pioneering while at the same time feeling unfulfilled for not developing her talent. The result? Paralysis and depression.
I hope by now she has moved on from her paralysis and depression. Many creative people, if not given a chance to express themselves, do fall into depression. It's part of their personality to create.
I see no reason not to learn to draw or paint the nude human body, because it is a work of art. Besides that, it's part of the learning process in the art world.

Emotional Bankruptcy after the Tower
by Esmeralda in"in many ways, poverty is a state of mind.
emma bromon, ~founder of liberty house, a halfway house in new orleans for homeless girls with children, or who are pregnant.. this quote inspired me tonight, on an evening where i certainly needed to feel inspired by something.
it made me question the way that i feel sometimes, that sickening out of control emotion that keeps me awake some nights.. nights like last night.. the feeling that carries over into days like today, .

Essie, this is my first post to you although I have read a lot of your posts. You definitely have a gift. Relish in it. I agree with Francoise, that it would be great if you could get published and be on Oprah, or The Today Show or Larry King, or whatever.
Wasasister, I also agree with a lot of the points you made as well.
