  Who lets it be known that they were once a JW?

  i am curious, for those of us here who have left the jw org, who actually lets it be known to people that they were once a practicing jw.. for me, this is something i tend to keep quiet because it is something i'm not particularly proud of.

  anyone else feel the same way?.

  GG - you and I are two peas in a pod! I tell EVERYONE I can, if they want to hear more I keep going. I call it my informal anti-witnessing. I have anti JW YOU TUBE videos on my Facebook profile page. I am not a bit embarrassed to tell people I was in an evil brain washing cult. If I can prevent ONE person from starting a Bible study then it was worth the effort. Just planting those seeds!

  Sea Monkeys

  i am not sure about the uk and other english speaking nations around the globe, but i can tell you this: sea monkeys were all the rage for a brief period of time in the united states and canada.. why?.

  check out this ridiculous advertisement from the back of one our comic books that anyone of us would view in the late 1960s and early 1970s.. sea monkeys.. do you remember them?

  do you remember the advertisements in marvel and dc comics?.

  I wanted those ridiculous sea monkeys so bad, I never did get them. :-( I did have a pet rock, a chameleon on a string from the state fair and a marionette bird made of styrofoam balls and orange feathers though. Oh...and a chia pet.

  My JW mother passed away

  so much has happen over the pass years since i posted on this forum.

  three years ago i posted my first topic about my mother, she passed away recently.

  it still hurts to lose a mother, someone who gave you birth and raised you the best she could.

  as many know i left tennessee to help take care of my grandma.

  she is back in the hospital, this is visit number 8 this winter alone.

  the doctor's don't know what it causing her headaches and they are getting worse.

  i like a woman who is a jw and im not; i know she has the same feelings for me as i do for her.

  i would say im spiritual but not religious i would not take the bible word as literal truth like jw do.

  do we have any chance of a relationship together?
