  i was just looking through the june 15 study wt and on page 9 at the bottem of paragraph 10 it says.... additional "disgusting things" include acts of pedophilia and other forms of sexual immorality committed by clergymen and tolerated by the church authorities.

  is it any wonder that jehovah god will soon rid this earth of false religion?.

  Where do you start to find the answers to God?

  i thought i have relatively had everything figured out, like life, death, god does he exist or does he not.

  is the bible make believe?.

  can we really be sure that it is inspired, after all we were not around to see the process being done.

  Greater minds than mine have searched for answers to these questions. Has anyone ever figured it out? If they claim to know then I will not trust them, been there and done that. I've finally come to terms with the fact that I'll never know. I cherish each day of my life and I try to treat people the way I would want to be treated. What more can we do?

  using humour with cult members

  folks i needs some input on this subject.. i have 3 family members who are shunning me due to their jw belief system and i would like to prime some non-jw relatives on the use of humour to reach out to them.. its not right imho to poke personal fun or be sarcastic or unkind about their belief system so what do we do?.

  any suggestions on how humour can be used in this way?.

  garybuss + dogpatch - you guys are the experts - please advise......

  1979....eeeeegggaaaaaddddssssssssss...that's the year I started my Bible study. I loved Weebles, I bought the Circus, the Farm, and the Pirate Ship which was my favorite. Of course they were my daughter's toys. Bad Sam!!! Bad! Very cute story.

  Drew - so good to see you back. You are spot on. That's exactly what happens. Once I did research on holidays and a few other things I quit thinking for myself and gradually believed whatever I was told, even if I didn't understand it because I wasn't "mature" enough spiritually to do so. If they had been clear in the "Truth" book about the FDS I would have known it was a crock from the get-go. It's different once you've been sucked in with promises of a paradise and no hellfire.
