I'm sooo jealous! I always wanted twins. When I was a kid I had a notebook filled with names for twins, in 3 sections of course, boy-girl, boy-boy, girl-girl. Then I moved on to triplet names as well. So if you need any help....just kidding.

Hey Cade! Welcome sweetie. I hope you are still around. We all know what it's like to have our hearts broken. I think I was in shock for at least 2-3 weeks when I found out. There are lots of good people here and amazing scholars as well. Take your shoes off and stay awhile.
well, it's been 11 months since the whole thing started and i am ecstatic that she will finally be coming home.. .
it's somewhere between 2 weeks to a month before she comes home.. .

I agree with the war story analogy. Not only is it what connects all of us it's something I don't want anyone else to go through.

Kind of anti-informal witnessing. I always include the fact that it is a mind-control cult/publishing company masquerading as a religion, that it took me 30 years to realize it and that they immediately separate you from friends and family.
As with informal witnessing, I continue as time and interest allows.
after reading experiences and correspondence that some have posted on this site i think it might be a good idea to share what has been somewhat effective in conversations with entrenched jw family and friends.
when i was just "waking up" my mind was so occupied with the things i learned that i paid little attention to how i presented my point of view to jw's.
i often employed the "shot-gun" approach using the research i unveiled along with a healthy dose of outrage.
This is really good stuff so I thought a resurrection was in order. I can't believe it was buried so quickly.

mine goes back to may of 1955.. i was 17 months old.. my mother went into labor with the last of her 13 children, and i remember pitching a fit because the midwife wouldn't let me into her room.. how about you?.

I was around 2, not sure exactly how old though.
I was jumping on the bed and landed on the floor resulting in a broken collarbone. What I actually remember is flying through the air and seeing my mom and my grandma through the doorway.
i don't smoke anything but i know many that do--- some frequently, most infrequently.. personally, i don't see much difference between drinking alcohol and pot use.. should pot be legalized?.
I LOVE marijuana!
There is a lot of alcoholism in my family. I have seen and been the victim of violence by people that were under the influence of alcohol. I have never seen anyone become abusive or violent in any way from smoking pot. Never. Not once.
