  the only reason i have not da'd is because my mom asked me not to.

  i fully expect her funeral to be the last time i set foot in a kingdom hall (assuming i can't manage to convince enough of the family to do a secular funeral).

  i will thereafter become an active and aggressive member of the "vast apostate army.".

  I agree!!! But I guess if you buy into the message of the finale then you "know" one day Richard and his wife will be reunited.

  Thank you for the link, hemp lover, and your explanations, Terry and DB. I'm slowly wraping my brain around it all...

  I think I get the point, and like another poster, at one time felt the island was purgatory, but, like DB I was hoping for a more "tangible" explanation, so I was left dissapointed... What was I thinking???!!!

  I assume from your response you never watched the show. The plot was complex and, like other posters mentioned, about the characters and their lives. The acting was very good and I expect quite a few Emmy nominations this year. Simple??? Far from it. Your comment about the viewer's "simple minds" was incorrect and very, very rude.

  Deceived: yes, I would watch it.

  Keyser: I know what happend to the Kwon baby, but in the finale, the sideways Jin and Sun know they are expecting that baby but in the end the baby is not with them. I figure she is not dead yet or the reality where she was born did not happen.

  Claire's baby is in the church so does this mean he died? Last we saw him he was with Sun's mother when Sun returned to the island (which is the same relity where the Kwon baby was born).

  Here's the explanation someone on another forum gave, I think she was right:

  "When they were all in the church at the end, and the sideways world from this season, that was their afterlife so that they could all join up again. Some died on the island, some went on, those who were on the plane at the end lived their lives (Kate, Claire, Sawyer etc) but upon their deaths, whenever that is/was they meet together because their experiences on the island were the most important of their lives."
