lawyers response resigned and withdrawn elder .
today i uploaded a new article to my blog containing a 14-page incredibly detailed response from a watchtower lawyer to a long-time high-ranking elder who had resigned and withdrawn his association with watchtower.
my article is titled lawyers response resigned and withdrawn elder and is available at: http://marvinshilmer.blogspot.com/2011/09/lawyers-response-resigned-and-withdrawn.html.
I wonder if this "legalism" about "voluntarily assented to associating with a religious organization subjects himself to the existing rules and procedures of the church and cannot deny their existence" holds any water for those that were baptized prior to the baptismal vows being changed to include "allegience" to God's Earthly Organization?
According to the WTS, it is after the Apostles died and the evil Church Fathers started the Great Apostasy with the doctrines of the Trinity, Hellfire and the Immortal Soul...according to the rest of Christendom, it is cults like the JW's that constitute the Great Apostacy!
(b) from where do false teachers often come, and.
false teachers are like dried-up.
about false teachers.
Very nice analysis Blondie! Thanks for doing such a fine job of showing the WTS's "fortress mentality".

Good stuff!...it makes the "Time of the End" look so inviting to children...especially the part about worldwide destruction of non-believers!
i have been studying with jw's.
they seem to have a lot of truth but i have come across a lot of conflicting information about them.
i want the best for my family and i and want to get closer to god.. any advice?.
Dear Interested One,
If you have been studying with Jehovah's Witnesses, you should make sure that you are doing complete research on their beliefs and practices. Unfortunately, this type of research cannot be done by solely consulting the literature of Jehovah's Witnesses. It is important that you research their beliefs, particularly as it pertains to disfellowshipping (shunning), blood policy, absolute obedience to the Organization and its most current teachings and participation in holidays and patriotic events. Once you have done this additional research, ask your study conductor about the answers you find through your independent study. I believe you will be surprised at the answers (or non-answers) you will receive. Ultimately, you have to make a personal decision...just make sure you completely understand what a commitment to Jehovah's Witnesses will mean for you and your family.
Best Wishes,
christendoms missionaries have established hospitals, refugee centers, and orphanages to care for peoples material needs.
casting themselves in the role of champions of poor people, they have also stirred up revolution and participated in guerrilla warfare.
in contrast, missionary graduates of gilead school teachpeoplethebible.
I always found it interesting that before Jesus did anything else (such as teaching), he provided for the physical needs of the people. He healed, fed and comforted people...then he taught.
..when you got baptised, and when you discovered the truth about the truth?.
me: 20 and 27.
Baptized at 17, DF'ed at 44...never really "felt" it.
Count...you need to try a different browser...your comments aren't posting.
just read it all.. i think the jdubs will take things into their own hands as they do everything else and flat out refuse to do this.. your thoughts???.

I would love to see a compulsory period of service for every young person here in the U.S. They could be given a choice of military or civilian service (like a domestic Peace Corp.), but I would rather see it for a period of one year minimum. Three weeks won't make much of a difference, but a longer period might help young people regain a sense of pride and purpose that appears to be missing at present. Imagine the good that could be accomplished if every young person had to be disciplined and focused on a purpose.
As to JW's, they would make this out to be a violation of their civil and religious rights...unless that compulsory service could be done at Bethel!
