i think i just broke up with my bf .

we've been together 6 months.

lately i've felt less & less emotions and engagement from him.

Sounds like you made the right decision...it sounds like he "left" the relationship quite a while ago...be strong, the right person will come into your life...just be patient.

the local elders have been trying to visit me (my hubby still attends meetings and he has told them i don't wish to speak with them), they left a copy of a watchtower (on helping inactive ones to return) in my door when i was not at thome, and this last sunday asked my husband if it's ok to write me a letter saying this is what they have to do.

they can't freely stop by as we have large dogs that would keep them out.. does anyone know if this is going to result in my being df'd??

i don't want that to happen yet as my husband's parents who are quite elderly, would be devastated.

or you can deny voting (as long as they don't have two witnesses) and they will have to leave it alone...

Unfortunately, they do not need you to proceed with a DA announcement...they can use your reticence to meet with them and your suspicion of voting as an admission that you no longer want to be a JW. I wish you the best in dealing with this issue...it is never fun.

The power and assertive years ( approx. 30 to 45 )

my personal observation is that these (30-45) years are the coming together of physical, emotional and mental power, a time when.

most reach the desire , confidence and need to speak out to speak out about all injustice they see around them.. my personal opinion is that after reaching this stage in life you mellow out in your 50's .

i make this claim by personal life experience.

I'd like to think that when I reached my 50's, I chose my battles more carefully...I think when we are younger, we end up tilting windmills by taking on every issue.

Moral Dilemma

excuse me so called holy spirit directed governing body; what do you do when you discover that a long term hospital liaison committee elder who gives talks at all1 day assemblies, 2 day assemblies & district assemblies and is quite prominent n the victorian/nsw circuit, is addicted to pornography, particularly under age and bestiality porno?

and oh, if you have print outs of his internet log ins and internet history fully detailing his log ins from his work computer???

and im not talking breach of privacy, im talking his breach of work usage of computers, of which im in charge of the it.

I see a lot of emphasis put on underage porn...difficult to prove, but as far as I know bestiality is illegal in most western countries. That is much easier to prove, since it is a black and white issue. I would also think that viewing porn at work is a termination offense...I know that in our company, if IT sees that certain sites are visited on work computers, the person is subject to discipline up to termination. It would seem that at the very least, this individual is at risk for his job...
