  I am not trying to be obtuse...and I am not agreeing with The Palin tactic...what I am saying is that to say Ms. Palin or the "Right" are responsible for this is stretching credibility. What was done is inexcusable, and I wish the Congresswoman and other victims of this idiot my sympathy and best wishes for recovery.

  I don't agree with your examples of Menachem Begin (I don't believe he was assasinated...you are probably thinking of Rabin) or Bhutto (her own rhetoric drew the ire of the radical Islamist who killed her).

  Nonetheless, polarizing speech is never useful in trying to bring people together or "preach" a particular viewpoint. This should be a no-brainer for those of us who lived and participated in the "rhetoric" of the WTS to grasp!

  I doubt highly Sarah Palin was advocating killing the people in the cross hairs! Let's not make this tragedy a political forum. I would be willing to bet that Democrats "targeted" Republican seats as well.

  I don't care what your political leanings are, there is no excuse for using those opinions in a violent way to promote an agenda.

  With that being said, we should let the facts come out before we start finger pointing at the Tea Party, Sarah Palin or any other group we don't personally agree with. Won't those quick to accuse feel silly if it turns out that the shooting was done by someone with no political or philosophical motivation?

  Let Rep. Giffords fight for her life and let the perpetrator be brought to justice!

  not that it is particularly pertinent to anything, did anyone catch the today show yesterday featuring ted williams (the man with the golden voice) where he was reunited with his 90 year old mother?

  seems ted was raised in a very religious household with a jw dad, and mom couldn't understand how ted could have grown up to be such a huge disappointment to the family.

  it just seemed an odd thing to bring up during a "poignant" reunion..

  Mom seemed a bit harsh...not thrilled that Ted is trying to turn around, but more concerned that he will disappoint her again and not live up to his new opportunity for a second chance!...seems mom may have had a bit of JW mentality rub off on her.
