What Song Best Describes Where Your Life is Right Now?
by Morbidzbaby inself-explanatory title lol.
just curious what songs each of us identify with when it comes to where we are in life.
i think music is a great form of expression and sometimes someone else can sing it better than you can say it, know what i mean?

thoughts on this old man's death?
by Hobo Ken inclaude choules, the only remaining male veteran of world war i and the last person to have served in both world wars, has died, the royal australian navy said in a statement.
will this have any impact in the minds of jw's?.
the knowledge that no one who was of reasonable age to witness 1914 are still alive surely must resonate with some.. full article here.

Yep Ken...new light allows for everyone who knew Mr. Choules to be "of that generation"...I would suspect he has numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. The possibilities are endless!!

Taxi Star Jeff Conway In Coma
by AK MCGRATH injust ran across this.
the last time i saw him, he was in a celebrity rehab program and looked incredibly horrible.
sad to hear of this news, and it doesn't look hopeful.

Update to previous post:
Dr. Drew Pinsky is reporting that it is not an OD that caused Jeff Conaway's coma...he states that Conaway is in a medically induced coma to treat a severe case of pneumonia.

The combo of opiates and alcohol are often deadly...the CNS deppressant aspects to both can "sneak up" on someone before they realize they have OD'ed. Derek Boogaard of the New York Rangers just died of an oxycodone/alcohol combo OD. Pain can be very insidious.

Another WT urban myth?
by tenyearsafter inhas anyone been sent the e-mail going around showing a photo of brooklyn hq with text attached to it saying in essence:.
"we all know that the gb has been cutting back on expenses by reducing printing runs, making fewer cd's, going to part time help and selling property.
at the annual meeting a story was told about the famous "read the watchtower daily" sign and how they no longer illuminate it at night to save expenses.

The sad thing is, the person who sent this to me thought they were "encouraging me" to come back to God's only true Organization...and they totally bought it as real.

You don't have to feed part timers three squares every day?...with the rising cost of food, that can add up quickly!

I did it find interesting that there would even be an allusion to "cutbacks, cost cutting, etc." Doesn't make the WTS look like a thriving place...
