Thought of another one.
I HATE that my husband smokes. HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!
But for some reason that Marlboro smell mixing in with his cologne is just mmmmm....good.
this maybe a short thread!.
some smells are frowned upon.. which secretly do you like?.

Okay here is a really weird one.
I used to work in a clothing store for young men. This older man (NOT our usual type of customer) came in and had the strangest aroma about him. Kind of an unwashed (for a very long time! ), sweaty type smell. For some reason I could not stop sniffing him!
It was so bizarre. It's one of those odd memories that is burned into my brain. I can still see his face and what he was wearing.
I thought about him and "his smell" for a long time after that. Okay, now that I have revealed such a freakish factoid about myself, anyone care to toss out any ideas as to why I kept smelling the strange man???
Oh yes, and it was definitely different that that good sweaty smell my husband has .
here's the new thread - we can update this thread for a couple of weeks, then i'll start another one.
it's so nice to hear what other folks are doing, and the folks who aren't dieting or exercising as a part of this group, your input is very helpful.
i appreciate kensei and mincan for instance for their advice.
Wanted to come back and say Great Job on the weight loss Hortensia! I can see from your posts how hard you are working at it and it definitely encourages me. Oh and the thought of getting a massage.....aaaaahhhhhhhhhh I SO need one. I'm on the west coast, how much are plane tickets these days? Maybe one day I'll get down there.
Just saw your post, we sound a lot alike! I'm doing WW too. Kind of took the month of December off, but I"m getting back on track now.
I too want another baby and getting rid of this weight is a big motivater for me. If I do get pregnant I don't want to go through what I did last time. I ended up having the birth I wanted, unmedicated, out of hospital and in a big tub of warm water) but we had to induce my labor with castor oil and finally breaking the bag of waters due to rising blood pressure and protein in my urine.
Usually having the baby "fixes" the pre-e problem but in my case it didn't. I was already back home when the blood results came back and my midwife called me and told me to hightail it to the hospital, there was a bed waiting for me. 24 hours on magnesium sulfate, a miserable 2 days in the hospital, and long recovery later and I was semi-normal again.
This time around I want to give myself every advantage. Less weight, thyroid under control, high protein diet during pregnancy and hopefully I can have another water birth again. It is definitely something I feel is worth working for.
I wish you MUCH success with your weight loss journey and your plans for future pregnancy and birth!

Checking in...still on plan!
Got a little frustrated that I had been right on with my WW points for 10 days and wasn't seeing any progress. Somehow that lead to the inhalation of a large portion of a box of Captain Crunch (that is EVIL stuff!). Surprisingly I was down a little bit at my last weigh in, which was a big shocker.
Not sure if I'm going for an official weigh-in tomorrow night or if I'll wait til Saturday. I'll post my numbers when they are official.
Keep up the great work everyone!
i havnt received mine yet, im just wondering how many others havnt either???
just incase mine has been registered so it can be tracked.
we have already had one bad experience this week, had to send on hubby's xbox console as it overheated and died, the post have "misplaced" it, im so glad we have it insured.. es.
BTTT
I found out my package arrived at my SS recipient's house! I got a phone call from her the other day! Shocked me for a second there when I saw the name on the caller ID. I thought to myself, hey, isn't that the person I sent something to? Then I realized, hey if you give them your name and address, they can figure out a way to call you.
It turned out great though, we chatted for over a half hour and I was able to find out that she has been having problems with her internet and wasn't able to get online. It was very nice to talk to someone from the board. I hope she is doing well and that she'll be able to be back on JWD before too long.
haven't read the posts on the other thread yet - will do so asap.
in the meantime, had a long day myself, did not got for a walk, worked nine hours without a break!
busy day, had breakfast, only a yogurt for lunch, was glad to come home and have a bowl of cereal.
Oh good, here is the thread!
Oh I was so irritated at my Tuesday night weigh-in! I weighed Saturday morning at a meeting and then again Tuesday night and they said I was the same weight on Tues as I was on Sat! Not even sure that was possible, I think my body was playing tricks on me because the "extra weight" was gone again on Wednesday morning.
So with all that my weight loss so far is 2.8 pounds. Not bad, but I was expecting more. I'll just stay focused this week and continue to make progress!

I haven't received anything either.
I'm hoping my SS recipient received their package but haven't heard. It's okay if you hated it, please just let me know it arrived!
ladies, how many of you have had this happen?
your cell phone is stashed in your purse and it starts ringing.
you plunge your hand in, hoping to grab it and begin the call.
Thank you for prompting me to clean out my purse today! And it wasn't even Flylady's clean out your purse day, I feel so accomplished!
My two oddball items:
1 contact lens, not 2, not a set, not a pair, just one new lens.
A candy finger that has been in my purse since Halloween. My sister sent it to my son and our plan was to sneak it into her plate of food at one point during a recent visit she made to our area. Alas, we did not accomplish our fiendish plot much to my son's disappointment.
We'll have to save it for another day, I guess I can take the finger out of my purse now.
we received a parcel for our boys today from besty's mother.
presents, photos (of seals!
) and a card addressed to them asking for some photos of them!
I would send the card too. This may be a way of them trying to reach out and make a small connection that can turn into something larger.
I would also include information about you and your husband too, what you are up to, how well things are going, etc. Don't let them just make it about the children, write back about your FAMILY and help them remember that.

Great job everyone! (although I just read an article about not saying things like "great job" to your child and being concerned about over-praising them.....screw that! everyone including my son gets "great jobs" from me)
I'll weigh in tomorrow night (the only crummy thing about night meetings is that it isn't that first thing out of bed weigh in the morning when you are all nice and light!)
I'm anticipating 4-5 pounds for the first week. That may sound like a lot but when I eliminate things like sugar and Pepsi from my food intake, my body throws a party and drops weight like crazy the first couple of weeks.
I had been at the same weight for the past 4 weeks, not counting my points on a daily basis but trying to be aware of what I was eating. That prevented any gaining during December but it takes much more effort to actually lose.
I did have one AGGGGHHH moment though. I recalculated my Points due to my recent weight loss and found that I went down on the point/weight scale and now I'm supposed to be at 22 points per day. Waaaahhh!! I'm sticking with the 23 through tomorrow and then will start on 22 per day on Wednesday.
