i wonder
by bigdreaux ini didn't want to hijack the wanderer's new thread about weather the w.t.s.
should be held accountable for shunning, but, in reading it, a thought flashed across my little brain.
he pointed out that apostates that picket conventions are usually the worst kind of "apostates" they usually seem angry and uneducated.

overcompensating when leaving JWs?
by B_Deserter inever notice this phenomenon?
seems like a lot of people that leave in their early 20s tend to become wild party animals as soon as they leave da troof, getting tattoos, piercings and the like and going almost overboard with it.
anyone ever experience this?

What is the NEW BUZZ in the Org?
by Save My Soul inthere is a new wt arrangement, the 1935 change, the 30 minute public talk among other things.
some have even said they would stop talking doom and gloom, can someone please confirm this?.
what is the perception of these things among those active in the org?

What the GB doesn't get yet is that the average joe in the troof does not take to much notice of what they say anymore, I have heard the same thing over and over the past few years, they say same ol stuff nothing new and any rules they ignore. Like if they said in the KM not to read history or learn an ancient language, most would take no notice of it. People are starting to smell the coffee.

Have you ever faked a service report?
by Orgull init's only my third day here so, go easy on me.
lol.. seriously, my new doubts have made it harder and harder to go in service.
a few months ago, when a new month rolled around, i realized that i hadn't actually gone in service at all the previous month.

There is nothing in the Bible that says that we must put in a certain amount of hours preaching each month. It is a man made requirement and those men do not deserve my respect or obedience. They do not "need to know" what I actually do with my time.

Rebekka watered 10 camels???
by White Dove inin the bsb, rebekka watered 10 thirsty camels and also gave water to abraham's servant and whoever else was with him on that long trip to find isaak a wife.
one camel drinks about 30 gallons of water at one time and doesn't drink again for 10 months, according to a nature book about camels.
so, that's 30 gallons x 10 camels + thirsty people= 300+ gallons of water!

This has been disgused by a few of us including a coulple of elders, they talked about the property being sold and the millions the society spent on this super duper printer, and their reasoning was well we will need printer because still have to have information to the b/s published in the new system, as the new scrolls will be open and everyone has to be organised as their will still be meetings, and also instead of door to door the massive teaching of the ressurected, so must be close if the org is selling up property, thats the take on it, from these few.

I know for sure that the older bethelites are looked after at bethel many nursing sisters go and help look after them. I also know that around 200 left bethel (oz) last year, and they have been encouraging (especially young males) to come to bethel as their is a need, had a couple of announcements a few months ago at circuit assembly.
There was also the experience of a brother on the platform that said he was a fourth generation JW and out of his 28 family members 19 have turned apostate, so many are thinking.

Will they give anything out of that to charitable work? I hope they will carry on as usual and carry on sending out the wrong signal to the world, the JWs will be working in vain trying to persuade people that the WTS is the loving and charitable organisation of God.
Nice thought but they should put it in a fund for all congregations to help look after the elderly, the ones that have given all and now are in need of financial help, those that have no family to help them, even if they do they should still be looked after by the WT$.
