Inquisitor I agree with what you have said, but would add that their treatment of the r/f is unchristian, they overlook Jesus authority as the head of the congregation and add rules and regulations that are not scriptual, desiding for us what to watch what to wear, what to read, have an opinion against the GB then you are out. This sort of dictatorship is not christ like so in a sense they are being anti-Christ by not following closely in his footsteps. I find the org has become political, its rules on obeying the GB ahead of God is itself apostacy, its policing of the b/s and shunning is neither scriptual or christlike. Do as I say not as I do.

Is the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society an Anti-Christ Organization?
by OUTLAW inthe wbt$ certainly puts themselves as mediator between god and mankind..very unchristian.....in many cases the wbt$ would have us ignore the words of jesus and have us rely on them,for any meaning the bible may have..as in the case of the september 15th 1968 watchtower artical "why are you looking foreward to 1975??
?..the writer tells us "this is no time to be toying with the words of jesus!
"..the end is very near..this was on a thread by another poster a few days ago.....we all know that armageddon did not arrive as predicted by the wbt$ in 1975..but..to work up the 1975 frenzy,jw`s were told to ignore the words of jesus.....is telling people to ignore the words of jesus,anti-christ behavior?.....outlaw

Let the stones cry out!
by WTWizard inhow often have you heard the phrase "if we don't preach, the stones would cry out"?
this is in regard to the ministry.. what i cannot figure out is (1) this is so urgent that we have to be out 18+ hours a day doing it, (2) we have to endure all sorts of conditions to accomplish our ministry, and (3) we are supposed to get it perfect so people can be drawn in.
so, why don't the stones get to help us out?

Finally, WHY IS JEHOVAH NOT LIFTING A DAMN FINGER TO HELP US ACCOMPLISH THE MINISTRY? All He is doing is sitting up there like a dope watching us not doing enough. It's His project after all, and He should be able to get the work done in one step without any hardship to Himself.
It is up to us individually to research and find out why this org continues on its merry way abusing and subjecting its members to rigid not enough work in the field service, its called CONTROL of a persons mind, time and money, their family life their recreation, everything ex; what they watch read ,listen to buy, and especially their time. Being a slave to the org is their way of keeping the r/f under control. Once one realises what is actually going it is up to us to do something about it. Jehovah will bring this org to its needs because they fail to treat his sheep with love and dignity, understanding and tenderness. Individually Jehovah does help us if we go to him and not rely on a these out of touch authoritarian men sitting like a God in a building in Brooklyn, this folks is a dictatorship.
They would hate the stones to cry out.....

Very interesting post.....I don't know, but some great answers, this may be a new slant on things.
Maybe Satan waited till Eve wanted to go do poo poo's or wee wee's, that way she was all alone,(except for the snake).

Where do you go for your spiritual needs?

i use to study with them for years, i even went as for as becoming a unbaptize publisher.
i gave up being a publisher because i did not feel genuine in my efforts to preach.

I find comfort in knowing that God is Love and a lover of Justice, in his due time he will reveal all, and just as he has done in the past, the Isrealite nation became corrupt, I believe that the descuting thing that causes desolation (Mth 25:15) is also applicatble to the WTBTS at Brooklyn, just my opinion. Things will be a cleaned out, in the meantime I read the bible prayer and try to follow Christ's example on how to treat others.
I find happiness in spiritual fulfillment in meditating on the beauty of Gods' creation.....(Rom 1:20) respecting all living things and allowing God to take me on the journey of knowing him through Christ. God is a happy God and wants us to be happy, not in fear and not in chains to a FDS that knows not us personally and brings reproach on the very God they are said to worship.

How many happy JW marriages do you know of?
by Bonnie_Clyde injust reading frequent flyer miles on the subject of feeling guilty for having a happy marriage with a non-jw.. in our congregation which i haven't attended for about a year, i can only think of two or three who seem to be happy.
of course, i don't know what happens behind closed doors, but i know of several who admit they are unhappy.
i wrote out a long list of couples who have divorced over the last 20 years--including three elders (one is on his second divorce).

Problem is they marry young because they want sex, especially the male, it really is a wart on their bum, WTS says no to mastibation, dating just for fun to get to know the person to have a relationship with the opposite sex must be with the view to marraige.
I say an answer to all this and its unscriptual, take up a good sport or hobby or go to colledge, the library then, become an enthusiast of something outside the opposite sex and the borg.

I know a large handful of JW's who claim that the religion saved their marriages. They feel very triumphant about this, but I think that they are just settling for a crappy situation and then patting themselves on the back for sticking it out "for Jehovah." Maybe if they would choose their mate based on compatibility instead of works they would be happy in the first place and they wouldn't have to brag about how they stay married to someone they don't really love for the sake of their religion.

No DC next year, last DC?
by doinmypart ina relative said there may not be dcs next year.
he said on the last day of this year's dc when the final speaker goes through all the reports & experiences, the speaker said next year's dc have not been planned yet and the gb will make an announcement later this year.
did anyone else hear a similar announcement?

We all know that the international is a non event, the district, that is odd because they have to have three major conventions every year like the Isrealites, circuit , district and the special day....
Everyone will say that is because the end must be so soon, their not planing.
I personally have a gut feeling that things are going on behind the scenes we don't know about, I wouldn't be surprised if there could be huge problems with the org, maybe governmental or other issues.
I do remember at the end of last years convention bethel brother said a lot of propaganda may come out, and to ignore it because it is all lies.

My 17 year old daughter has so many problems

she has had many problems for many years.
she ran away a year ago, we dragged her home, took her to the hospital for bulimia and suicidal tendencies.

Hard to tell...if she is hearing voices that is a sign of schizophrenia. Not all schiz; hear voices. Smoking drugs even marijana can cause phychosis, delusions and anxiety. Needs to see a very good caring GP that can encourage her to see a pshychitrist that maybe able (usually by trial and error) prescribe something that could help her.
This fourty year old is a worry, surely the police could try and do something about that, she's a minor.
I was a very disturbed and rebellious young girl going through puberty, things can happen with hormonal changes and some kids go through this change being very destructive to themselves, especially if they have a depressive illness. She may have bi/polar there are different degrees, of experiencing very highs and devasting lows.

Just sounds like a religion to this friend....he doesn't really see it as the truth.....I'm surprised they haven't quizzed him on this eratic behaviour. As you said just like a security blanket for him. What ever he's had years of mind control he's probably lost his.

Why the excuse, "we are theocratic"?
by edmond dantes inthe wts claim to be theocratic when really they are a dictatorship .when ever did they consult the rank and file and why do so many followers accept blindly their pronouncements.maybe it's because of fear or perhaps just plain ignorance.why can't the g.body write to every jw and ask their opinions about forth coming changes to the washtower editions.they could ask individual members by means of a questionaire ; things like, how satisfied are you with the society?
tick one box ",very satisfied", "not very satisfied"," who gives a monkeys".
"always" or "almost always" or " are you peeing down my back or is it raining".another question; the statement millions now living will never die , only tick one box remember , "was true at the time", or" was never true" or "still true today" or " i believe whatever , do i look bothered".. last question ; because we are tax exempt and a charity case what is the the most humanitarian act do you think we have carried out?
