the gods and goddesses are good story characters.
they act, and things happen to them.
Many JWs with a mainstream Christian background would sincerely say that they are more personally related and committed to "Jehovah" than they have ever been to "God". Is it, somehow, because it suits better the lively realm of mythology than the abstract realm of theology?
That would certainly explain why we all fell for it - an amazing dream that seemed to be true and one we could relate to and identify with.

I'm doing my first year humanities and every time I pick up the good study guide I come across another nugget of self esteem, morale boosting material. The section on developing critical thinking skills is also amazing.
If anyone here is wondering what to study I'd reccommend the humanities degree. Its very plain to me why the WTS is so against further education.

I sat there thinking how against 'recognising your needs as human beings' the WBTS is. Basically it seems to me that they are against humanity - wouldn't you agree?

I don't think that finding blood in the car they rented could really stand up in court because the killers could have planted it there after the car was returned. There has been so publicity, if the killers wanted to divert attention from themselves whats to stop them ascertaining which car the McCanns had rented and then planting 'evidence'?
Unless of course the car was kept in police possession and they held to stringent police procedures.

After reading the comments from this judge I think she may have done this purposely to spark the public just waiting to be outraged on an obvious injustice. The more publicity on this the better; focusing on this man's past and religious affiliation will shed light on the connections between misappropriated faith and religious corruption.
