Why is it that so many atheist it appears to me ,want "scientific proof"as a bases for belief in God yet right
away ( as in many comments here) turn the argument to perceived" morality of God "rather than scientific approach themselves ?

The fathers of Science, such as Newton, Galileo, Kepler, Gilbert, Copernicus and Einstein held a firm belief in God and openly professed their belief (Caputo, 2000 ) If scientific proof is the bases for belief why is this so... do you think ?

reasons to consider... (many seem to need hard facts and solid proof reasons .... how about these ?
The complexity of our planet points to a deliberate Designer who not only created our universe, but sustains it today.
The universe operates by uniform laws of nature. Why does it?
The DNA code informs, programs a cell's behavior. -

November KM do not upset the branch with with your relatives or friends trying to get them to become JW's.
by life is to short ini just thought that the question box of the november km was strange the way it was worded.
i tried to scan it but could not get it to come up so i will type it out.. ("who should fill out coupons and internet requests?.
our publications often contain coupons that can be filled out and sent to the branch office to request literature or a visit from jehovah's witnesses.

What really bothered me was when they said that 'some who have been sent unsolicited literature have felt that our organization isharassing them
Isn't the point that they (headquarters) don't want to be bothered... but as for the brothers calling at their homes it doesn't matter that's their own problem ?
Sorry much the same thought as Outlaw... didn't see his post first

Is guilt a valuable tool to you ?
by caliber inguilt is tied into our belief system of right and wrong... i see so often that people upon leaving the wt talk about the negatives.
of instilled fear and guilt.
does not proper guilt from internal source play a postive role ?

Isn't guilt closely related to your conscience.... a pre-warning alarm system that you are wandering into thoughts that are not
to your advantage by quick reflection back to other life choices and the recorded dangers of their outcome ?
Could guilt be much like the example of pain which is undesirable but it can serve a valuable purpose in us seeking
relief and in ultimate recovery ?

Guilt is tied into our belief system of right and wrong... I see so often that people upon leaving the WT talk about the negatives
of instilled fear and guilt. Does not proper guilt from internal source play a postive role ? Can it not cause us to end conflict
and try to fix wrongs ? Are their not standards in society and things for which individuals do best to follow or practice ?
We must not confuse guilt with shame...which emphasises what is wrong with "ourselves "rather than poor" actions" we have taken.
Can not guilt can be contructive where as shame seems to be always destructive ?
Here are some shame driven actions . .. (1)attacking or striking out
(2) seeking power or perfection
(3) diverting blame
(4) withdrawal
(5) being overly nice

What percentage of assmbly experiences are total fabrication?
by NoRegrets inwhen i was in 4th grade, i ended up in a situation involving minor school politics.
they had developed a "student council" which did little more than sell pencils at lunch time for fundraisers.
anyway, i was appointed by the teacher and didn't think much of it as an 8-9 year old.

It's never total fabrication there is always at least a faint glimmer of truth somewhere

Is POLYGAMY ever justifiable? I say yes, Yes, and YES!!!!!!
by Judge Dread init is in the nature of man to want to have more than one woman.. a man cannot help himself.
he was born that way.. if it was legal, men would have multiple wives, two, three, maybe ten if he could afford it.. that's all.. jdw .

Women would not be just short changed emotionally but in most ploygamous situtions there is only one" primary wife" ..the rest are just
"spiritual wives"and therefore have no property rights in the event of divorce. Seems like a lose - lose situation for women !
Dr. Plil would say ... "Get real ".... do some clear thinking not fantasizing
The beauty of the marriage commitment in not sharing with everyone..... love and sex is meaningless without trust & security !
