  i keep crossing paths with people who are in recovery, that is, recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

  these folks regularly attend alcoholics anonymous and narcotics anonymous meetings and are all somewhere in the process of working the 12 steps of recovery.

  the organization denies affiliation with any legal entity; a blatant deception, a lie they tell new ones and each other at each and every meeting.

  needy all the time, whiny, negative, reliving their pain over and over, and the bearers of pitty pots and contradictions, and they seem more self-absorbed than an 8th grade girl,

  The words self-absorbed (looking inside) and looking to a higher power ( looking outside ) seem to also contradict each other.

  Isn't the point being made that a person must first look inside themself, as with addiction to realize

  you need help from an outside force such as Bill W's ?

  adj preoccupied with one's own thoughts, emotions, life, etc. It would seem to me that there would need to be strong self-focus to overcome addiction ..this could also require outside source of strength

  i notice in ray's books he has a disdain for the more vocal dissidents of the watchtower organization.

  with this being said, did ray franz go on shows like merv griffen, oprah and other "talk mediums" to attack the watchtower society?

  i remember as a kid my mother running up and turning off shows apostates were to appear on, and i can't remember if ray was one of the 'bashers'?

  two djs, posing as the queen and prince, prank a nurse into divulging info on kate.

  nurse is later found dead, apparently suicide.. -----------.

  'jacintha saldanha, the receptionist who was duped by two australian djs who were pretending to be queen elizabeth and prince charles in order to get information on the duchess of cambridge's pregnancy, has been found dead.. the woman's body was found at an address close to king edward vii hospital in london, where the duchess was being treated, according to the u.k.'s daily mail.

  f you honestly ask yourself that question in regards to infidelity, most of the time it has little to do with honesty or your relationship. It's because you feel guilty, or you feel the need for absolution or forgiveness. You feel like a horrible person. Confessing is less about consideration for the other party, and more about selfishness in the need to assuage your conscience and make you feel better

  Doesn't the fact that you would feel better in confessing tell you it is the right thing to do ?

  Why confess to God if He is already aware ?... it's like when you have a child confess for an offence that was in full view for all to see

  verbal acknowledgement helps you see the gravity of what you have done. and hopely in the case of adultery true remorse.

  Our sins are forgiven at salvation (positional forgiveness), but our daily fellowship with God needs to stay in good standing (relational forgiveness).

  Hosea 5:15, “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.”

  To in return hear the voice of forgiveness indeed may release your affliction

  To share a bed is to share no secerts.... if indeed you desire deep lasting trust and peace !

  If we announce that someone is a troll , is it not the same as saying don't put "faith" ,"confidence' or " trust" in him ?

  Or do we have" faith" that the other respected posters that we 'have faith in" know the "logical facts' about such a one ?

  Stronger Christian presence on JWN?

  i've only been a member here for a short time, but it seems like there are more christians on the board lately.

  for the first few months that i was on jwn, it appeared that there were very few that argued in favor of a creator and belief in the bible in particular.

  there seems to be several more that have recently joined...or at least posted more regularly regarding belief.
