Child,
Love the principles you share here in quote
It is important to be comfortable with ourselves without denigrating others who do not share our beliefs. It does not make a difference what one's beliefs are, the importance of showing love to one's neighbor, demonstrating hospitality and valuing truth are universal regardless of one's culture. We all know the people we wish to be and strive to be that person. I am not the ideal person I strive to be but I'm lovable and likable.
What a better place this world would be if we just practiced things these few simple, practical idea's !

AllTimeJeff you've articulated my thoughts exactly
. Yes I must agree with this underlined quote above.. you make your points very clearly and logically.
The point about finding faith , hope and love in the world of humans makes sense. The only question that
still reminds in my mind need we go beyond this to spirit connection outside our physical world ?
I do belief that self-realization is important finding out who we are.. what we want.. what inspires us.
that's why tolerance and unconditional love is so important to me.
There is so much risk and danger in becoming self-defensive such blinding us to deeper truth
and understanding !
I find the longer I am out of the borg and deal with my anger towards the leadership of JW's, the less antangonistic I am of theistic beliefs,
I do feel in time that for some the pendulum swings in the other direction for many.. an over correction of sorts !

hi posters .
yesterday morning at 4:30 i posted a thread "pointless post".. .
i then proceeded to spam my own thread repeatedly (breaking rule 5).
the test of courage comes when you are in the minority.. the test of tolerance comes when you are
majority.. (Sockman)
I think you passed the test of courage with flying colors.. may the rest of us now pass the test of tolerance with such !

today, as i wait for the grout on the kitchen floor to dry, i began to ponder...... i wonder looking back just how insensitive to reality i could have been to have spent the vastness of my youth and midlife believing the obvious lies of jehovah's witnesses.
though i enjoy my freedom, i have no foundational background upon which to prop it.
though having a sense of being reborn, that rebirth has taken place late in life, and has left me feeling somewhat empty.
feel like a man of 53 making his early forays into the life of an 18 year old. My mind had been pickled in subversive propaganda for most of my life.
I do feel it is a greater problem to face the post WT. world having been there since diapers. I didn't really attend until about
15 years old so it does give you greater sense about life on the "outside " Your sense of self is already set when you
start to attend as teenager! ~Cal
so i started this thread on another board too.
we have a sizeable number of people - men and women not in a relationship perhaps here.
ladies - what is it that you want in a relationship emotionally, mentally, sexually, and materially ?
I want sex and lots of it. Oh and respect .... (Beks)
I got a great laugh from this comment.. so candid.. (so I guess I have a great sense of humour too !)... ~Cal

Hi Snowbird,
Cal, imho, beliefs come from within and without.
I believe we're "hardwired" to do good, positive things, and that we search for others who are of like bent for confirmation and validation
. These words of yours I find to be very comforting... we need faith and comfort both inside and out to have some measure of inner peace ! Do some believe to have an anchor on anything external is weakness
in the end futile and useless ? I just don't know or understand this position for sure . Maybe some one can explain
their exclusive internal source of strength & power ! I do not condemn I only ask ! ~Cal
