"As scary it sounds, I see it as a valuable skill. No instead of furthering the interests of the Satanically Driven Faithful Slave. I can use my training in benefit of me. And I have been for many years. So say what you want about how it was so bad when you were a Witness and how out of the loop you were. You didn't see the big picture. You didn't learn the lessons or let the Organization teach you by it's TRUE example. I did these things and I have to say. My dreams were as easy as showing up to an interview with a smile a suit and a briefcase. -Story over."
Well...I think this is just brilliant.
The Society ripped you off? You were dealt some bad cards? Too bad. You still have to play the hand you're dealt. There is no time like the present.
I admire those who pay the game of life with gusto. If you aren't dead (or nailed down), you can make something of yourself. Take stock of yourself and care about what becomes of you. Even if you're an 11th-hour worker, the pay can be pretty decent.
Get up, get out and get it done.

Maybe your expectations are too high?
It's been my experience that for every expectation, there are a thousand shysters available to fill it. Unfortunately, people don't spend a whole lot of time investigating potential shysters.
Whose fault is that?

True enough.
If it's on here...it's can't be too shady.
Within the realm of world politics...very few are interested in an overt display of character. It's business, pure and simple...and a lot of politicians (with relatively meager salaries) are good at it.
If you want good character, you probably ought to look elsewhere.

by song19 infor those raised or who got the truth at a young age, how have you been able to handle the reality that you are in fact, eventually, going to die in this system?.

as a witness, my entire life i was convinced that i would see armageddon, that i wouldnt grow old and die.

You must die.
That is Jesus' call. Die today, live tomorrow.
If you can't figure that one out, you haven't experienced the "dark night of the soul."
Life is nothing without death. Death is critical.

WHY we can not afford health care in the US...

Tort reform.
Malpractice insurance for doctors and hospitals is off the charts. Juries award irresponsible people who smoked for 50 years tens-of-millions of dollars for their stupidity...just before they die of lung cancer. More than half of what you pay the doc...or what your insurance premium pays them...goes to pay for malpractice insurance to offset what shyster lawyers and insane juries are willing to award.
THAT is why health-care is so expensive. Period.

What a deal!
by frozen one ini was talking to my neighbor earlier today and he told me his daughter was buying a house.
the house, a brand new 3 bedroom/2 bath built to energy star standards, has been for sale for over a year.
it was built by a local low to moderate income housing organization funded with a mix of public/private dollars.

Socialism at its finest.
SOMEONE is dropping a dime on THAT one!
...oh yeah. It's me.
Apparently you can work your butt off; but if you're denying yourself the niceties of life to maintain a marginal credit rating, you are awarded with $1,300/month payments for the same house. If you've made nothing but awful decisions throughout your life, you get a huge reward....all on the taxpayers dime.
That's a real incentive to do better. And if you happen to screw that one up...there's another socialist program to fall back on. I work too hard. I need to quit my job.

Judge Rutherford Stenographer
by RR inokay everyone, here is a picture for you, download it and cherish it.. .
oh, isn't he cute?
is that peach fuzz on his upper lip?.

Not an awful looking man. Despite the eyes going two different directions and some rather narrow shoulders, he'd fit in today about anywhere.
Rutherford developed a talent for taking advantage of those who were easily awe-inspired. We all went through that (as such, the watchtower of today). If people were as they are supposed to be, we wouldn't have issues with men like Rutherford. The trick is to get there.

The question ought to be: "How did you face the reality of life?"
Everyone faces "death" eventually...and few are comfortable with the thought.
How about life?
I hate to quote the Tim McGraw song (I hate that damned thing), but do you LIVE like you are dying?
You ARE dying, you know? It's an emotional thing for me. I've actually faced death (real death, not some funky non-sensory spiritual thing) several times, and yet here I am. It's crazy!
I'm caught between "fuck-it" (pardon my French, but that accurately describes it) and LIVE IT. I'm inclined towards "live it;" but, to be honest, the alternative (F-it) is what gives "live it" its true value.
You might think the thought of dying is intolerable...but I can tell you, you can't really "live" without the thought of dying.
A-live today,
Carlos
