A dilemma regarding the 144,000

some of the recent posts regarding the "anointed" got me thinking about some of the characters that i have met, or have known about, professing membership among this elite class of people.. one particular character i know of, even today espousing some, shall we say, interesting viewpoints on matters, had an even more interesting past.

it seems that some years ago (c. 1970's) a typically subdued but otherwise ordinary christian meeting was being closed with a prayer at a small kingdom hall in the north eastern usa when it was suddenly disrupted by this individual (even then professing to be anointed) assaulting his wife at the rear of the hall!

he was pretty much disfellowshiped on the spot for his indiscretion.

The past Awake magazines before the year 2000 or maybe less,the WatchTower printed just inside the magazine said that before the generation,1914,was over armageddon was to come.Now there are two schools of thought on a generation.One is 35 years or 70 years.Besides,if you do the math,the generation was over a very long time ago.
Then in my time,1975,WatchTower said Armageddon was to come.Never happened.As for the 144,000,in 1973 there was suppose to be less then 8,000 left in the world,plus their ages were up in the 60s and 70s.Today they say there are about 8,000 left in the world.
If you do the math,there are more today then 30 years ago.
Since WatchTower prophecy armageddon was to come in 1914,1916,1918,1925,1941,1975,ects.You get the picture?
Words are nothing,if there is no action.So I consider the WatchTower as a false prophets and lost their crediblity with me years ago.
Do the math and see what are the results.....

in a thread called" can any jw answer this" by jerome, alan f had stated that the term.

everlasting to everlasting applied only to the god of israel.

he could find no scripture in which this term applied to jesus.. i found some good info.

I believe in what John 1:1-14 said.God came in the flesh.Also I believe that God is a mystery.I'm a scholar of Theology and a 30 years theology and Bibical researcher.I know greek,Arabic,Latan,and Hebrew.
But then again I don't need to know all of this and after all is said and done,it's my faith that sustains me.Plus I believe that the Holy Bible is my Final Authority.

Isaiah 9:6,tells us that Jehovah God is the Christ.
I discovered something,When I mention Luke 24:39,Witnesses denie that Christ had flesh and bones.They say that Christ came back as a spirit.When I do mention that Christ said Himself that He wasn't a spirit in that passage,they denie that it's there.I wouldn't believe that they would say that unless I saw it myself.So I truly believe that many witnesses have been blinded by the god of this system(Satan).There is just no other explanation.
1John 4:3,"and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God.And this is the spirit of the AntiChrist,which you have heard was coming,and is now already in the world."

In 1973 there were,suppose to be,only 8,000 anoined left in the world.Today the WatchTower says there are only 8,000 anoined left.Same number and at the same time anoined being in their 20s and 30s?Whatever happen to the generation of 1914?And of what they saw?
Was it not so that before that generation is over the end will come?
On the inside cover of the Awake it asks that question.Now of course the WatchTower took that out back in...1995 or 1996.
Some say a generation is 35 years.Others say 70 years.Well either way that generation is gone.Look towards the WatchTower for false prophecy,again

so what does the scripture "the love of the greater number will cool off" mean if it's not the big falling away from the wts in the last few years?

btw i don't remember the scriptural context but i have sometimes wondered about it - even though i'm a devout non-believer.. marilyn

ANOINTED JEHOVAH WITNESS APOLOGIZES

dear people, i posted my first post on anointed witness has no doubt stating that i have the heavenly hope and was seeking others.

many of you responded and i read all your replies.

i am lonely in terms of knowing few other young anointed and being an active witness, so this makes me an oddity among you and in my cong.. mnay also wondered why i was on this website of ex-witness,.

just a thought.Back in the `70s I knew 3 of the anointed.One disowned me because I refused to give up my KJV.But all three were either late 70s and one who was 95.Now it's 30 years later and the anointed count went up?Funny,because the Awake use to say concerning 1914,THAt the generation well not pass before the end comes.
Well?it's been more then a generation and last count 1975 came,ran,then gone.Only thing happen was less Witnesses then before.

State of Rhode Island Gubernatorial Election

it has been a few months since i have posted.

i am asking my friends here to take a minute to follow this link to a front page article in the providence journal bulletin (the main newspaper in the state of rhode island) and read the information concerning the latest candidate to join the race for governor.. it is my wife.

although her decision to enter this race (despite 4 generations of jw heritage, pioneering, etc..) was solidified many months ago, i did not have an opportunity to plan for such instant publicity and media coverage.. i too have been busy exiting the federal government and launching my technology company.
