Reborn-->While I personally choose family over religion, the rest of my immediate relatives choose the latter.
You see I disassociated myself from the JW religion after realizing it was a false prophet and deceitful organization.
Instead of accepting me for the person I am, my family chose instead to shun me because I had rejected their religion.
Funny the double standard that is present, because they expect me to respect their religion and stance and want me to even be open-minded enough to listen to their never ending preaching, while they refuse to lend a listening ear to FACTS that show the WTBTS to be false.
There are thousands of cases just like mine.
Individuals who have lost fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters.. ALL to the Watchtower CULT.
My prayers are with you, and a day will come when they will pay for their wicked practices.>>
I have never been a Jehovah's Witness, Reborn, but this shunning/disfellowshipping just blows me away. Doesn't the Watchtower realize how much pain they cause for family members who are shunned or even disfellowshipped? I really wonder if they do realize this.

I am truly sorry that this situation has occurred with you and your family. However, May I give you a word of encouragement? I would suggest, in your leisure, that you sit down and read Psalm 27:1-5. Really take the time to focus on those verses and ponder them. I have found that these verses are extremely uplifting when I find myself in stressful situations. God Bless you!

Jesus is now thought to be the King in Heaven. Elvis Presley was known as the King. Thus, when Elvis died Jesus/Elvis took his rightful place as King in heaven. To further miracles of faith Elvis/Jesus has revealed himself to white trash all over this great country hence all of the Elvis sightings. That is your choice that you made, hopefully, all by yourself. Now, If you detest the fact that we do not agree with what you embrace as Truth, then maybe you might want to consider reading more of the Bible, alone by itself, without any supporting material of any kind.
That way, when you come across this passage of scripture, You will have no doubts that the Watchtower Society was "dead" wrong as follows...
Phillipians 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Phillipians 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Yes, Jesus Christ is Lord according to Romans 10:9, Bleep. College is not that bad. As I recall, I nearly "killed" myself by overloading in courses the first time around. I was a double music major and burned out because of the overloading of courses.
However, When you take your time, You will see that College life is well worth the effort in getting your additional education after high school. The second time I went, I wound up with two college degrees in Engineering. So, I encourage you to go for that sheep skin. You will be glad that you did. And remember this, No one, absolutely NO ONE can ever take your education away from you.

You have a point there! And, on top of that, They do claim to be the "Sole channel of communication of God on the Earth today"! This statement of theirs clearly shows that they are the only ones who can communicate with God. I don't think so.

That is very interesting that you would bring this up. You see, Farkel, The Bible teaches that when God, for example, spoke truth, and later spoke additional truth, The first Truth spoken was not done away with but the later spoken Truth enhanced the first spoken Truth! In other words, The First Truth spoken did not ever change or diminish with the last spoken Truth tacked on. This is definitely not the case with the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society!

In regards to your comments here, Farkel, I would not say lazy. However, I do understand what you are saying. Nonetheless, though, I feel that the Jehovah's Witnesses find themselves in a "catch 22" sort of speak because they are specifically told not to read any so called "apostate material". What I have written would be considered apostate material.
On the other hand, I feel that there are some Jehovah's Witnesses that are doubting the Watchtower Society due to recent current events in the news. I firmly believe that the Jehovah's Witnesses are good people, just misguided in Biblical Truth.
