Fantastic opportunities for advanced education on line

lsu, california state,, eastern and western illinois among others offer fantastic classes.

harvard even offers a doctorate degree on line, although you will have to attend for a short time on campus.

several members of my family are finishing up degrees or advancing them through clep tests or on line classes through these sites, with testing done at local colleges or homework sent through the mail at minimal cost compared even to your local jr. college.

Actually, that has been going on for the last several years. MIT for instance offers great portion of its material both undergraduate and graduate for free, you can see it here http://ocw.mit.edu/index.html

Then there are universities who will grant degree all the way to PhDs based on the number of years you've had in certain profession, one is even advertised on his page at least I see it. http://www.universite-de-wallis.fr/campus.html

Can/Should someone be in love with more than one person?

not a question that affects me personally - i am dutifully bound to a single woman now for 33 years [omg that is 1/3 of a century already].. but do you believe that it is possible or profitalble to fall in love with more than one person at the same time?

in western culture it is normally considered 'betrayal' to do such a thing - but thoughout history and in cultures outside of the west today - it is considered acceptable, even normal.. typically it is the man who has more love interests than just one - not the woman - but some cultures have supported multiple partners for women also.

this is not a thread about judging others - just an inquiry about opinion.

I don't think anyone can control that any more than they can control gravity, what one is going to do about it is possibly a different but trying to control feelings is crazy. That is how watchtower society operates in invading ones thoughts and trying to put limits there.

"we are witnessing in our country that some women activists and some men are trying to play with islamic laws ... in order to harmonize them with international conventions related to women," khamenei said.

Iranian Shaira Law, is an extreme version of how fanatics such as JWs see the world even if they don't go to such extreme themselves because of the laws of the land. I once had conversation with a local elder and his long time pioneer wife who actually defended the use of Shaira law in front of me. Needless to say I was flabbergasted. So the way they view things isn't any different to those who actually act upon it, in fact that is the principle applied by the man they say to follow - Jesus Christ i.e. everything starts from thoughts. Therefore their actions clearly show that they follow the same guiding principles outlined in Shaira. Not convinced yet? Here are some examples, and by all means click on references and see for yourself

Iran executes minors and sentences minors to death[ref] They do that because they view them as adults	JW disfellowship and shun the minors which basically cuts them from any socal interaction needed for normal development. They do that because they view them and mini-adults
Iran executes people who don't believe in Islam the way they do [ref]	JW disfellowship everyone who dares to have even slightly different opinion to theirs
If woman trying to defend herself hurts rapist she can be sentenced to death [ref] If she does nothing she is viewed as willing participant and sentenced to death usually by stoning [ref]	IF JW woman doesn't scream she is disfellowshiped
