This is a topic I am going to kill with my opening post. Why haven`t the Major religions of Christendom exposed J.W.`s as the true Apostates
by smiddy ini am initially thinking of the major religious institutions of christianity , catholic ,many branches , church of england , and the major protestant religions , too numerous to mention here.. after all their is 40,000 plus christian religions in the world today ?so obviously j.w.`s are not the only false religion .. so my real question is really , to do with the mainstream christian religions , why are`nt they more aggressive in their condemnation of the jehovah witness religion for their obvious failings ,flip backs ,contradictions ,prophecy`s that never eventuated , end of the world predictions ,re-inventing their past history , even distancing themselves from their past history , and their founding members , such as c.t.russell and j.f.rutherford whose policies they now reject... they need to get on board and bleed it for all it`s worth .. smiddy .

Nicely summed up Carla. It is often difficult to describe this thing to someone without them looking a bit confused. -

I am tending to notice a lot more christian ministries revolving around JW's and Mormons. There are a bunch of youtube videos showing different ways to reason with them and different people trying to help them.
Maybe they start speaking out more but then the witnesses will just say that is the persecution "the only true faith" has to endure.

Blood Reasoning...
by iwasblind inas we fade we still do studies with people but only from the scriptures.. one study asked about the blood, so we should the revelant scriptures and asked how she felt about transfusions.. she said that "nothing loses it's life when you receive blood so it is fine in her conscience".
love it!
the scriptures clearly show that the blood being poured out was to show respect that something lost it's life.. maybe you can ask a witness, why it is ok to receive an organ from someone who has passed away but not ok to receive blood from a live person?.

What's worse, brutal murder or fornication?
by Tornintwo injust to give you a bit of background, i've been researching my doubts for over a month, i'm convinced that although they may have some things right, they have a lot of other things horribly wrong.
i'm still clinging to a faith in god, because i see a creator's hand in nature, and i believe in jesus and his teachings, love, mercy, compassion.....that if everyone truly applied these (including jws) then all would benefit.. but i read this article in march and it's been on my mind ever since.
where isis stone a young couple to death for sex before marriage (a bit graphic).. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3017800/sickening-images-blindfolded-bound-couple-brutally-stoned-death-fornication-isis-militants-iraq.html.

Great answer Fayedunaway. We don't have all of the answers, but sticking to God gives us the peace we need and motivation to help others.
I have found it is the times that I am angriest with God that he is the most patient with me. I think of Jonah - he was a bit of a hot head with God and God took it and worked with him.

Drivers License? These men are desperate.
You could use the same reasoning for marriage, having children, choosing a career. Yes they physically could do that but are they in the right frame of mind at that age to commit to such a big decision.
I guess Jesus was a slow learner hey, baptised at 30 - wait they did not have driver's licenses then so that explains it!

"No Elder has the Authority to Tell You what to do with Your Health--- Except for Blood!"
by FusionTheism inwatchtower simplified edition, september 2015, "is your conscience a reliable guide:".
a branch office or the local congregation elders do not have the authority to make medical decisions for a christian, even if he asks what to do.
(galatians 6:5) however, the elders can share what jehovah says in order to help a christian make a wise decision.

Isn't it funny, elders can't tell a person what to do, but they can DF them if they make the wrong decision (according to their opinion) about blood. -

Hey there, God's love is not dependant on what this daft organization tells you.
Read Romans 8:31-39 - nothing can separate you from the Love of God and Jesus - not even a man made religion claiming to be his "channel"
I know you are young, my heart goes out to you. Please know that God and the Bible are totally separate to what the WTBTS teaches.I am praying for you too - try reaching out to God in prayer.

A big hello and thank you
by iwasblind ini just wanted to introduce myself and say a big hello to all of my mentally diseased friends.. i say friends because i have been lurking for some time so it feels like home (us lurkers are a bit scared and cautious so it takes a while).
i won't bore you with too many details, but i am a born in, currently serving as the cobe of a congregation.
my wife and i have pioneered for the last 10 years and were shaken awake by that ridiculous 15th july 2013 wt about the generation and 1914.. my wife who is much smarter than me has questioned for years.

Our hall is asking for money...
by thedepressedsoul ini guess the branch isn't happy with the amount being sent each month since we are way lower than our loan amount.
we now have to another financial survey to see the max amount that can be given.
it is "encouraged" for all to be in attendance and give much forethought and consideration to the amount you can donate each month.

Personally I hope that they keep asking. I thought May broadcasting was going to wake up a lot of people, but would you believe there were some who actually liked it?
So the more crappy spiritual food they put out there and the more they turn corporate, the more chance people will wake up.

June Broadcasting - the white elephant in the room
by iwasblind ini don't have a problem using jehovah but i find it funny that in the broadcasting for this month, they go to great lengths to discuss why we use jehovah's name but don't actually mention how they got to it with no vowels.
again they exclude information.. he mentions jesus name being yeshua or yehoshua, but we know how to say his name in hebrew there is no conjecture there.
one understanding is because the jews stopped using that name the old scribes would copy down the tetragrammaton but then put the vowel markings for adonai (which is the hebrew word for lord) above it to remind them to say adonai.

Hi there all,
I don't have a problem using Jehovah but I find it funny that in the broadcasting for this month, they go to great lengths to discuss why we use Jehovah's name but don't actually mention HOW they got to it with no vowels. Again they exclude information.
So someone basically guessed how to say Jehovah by using these vowel pointers from the hebrew word for Lord.
Regardless, of this:1. If God wanted THIS name known wouldn't he have the power to let us know what his actual name is?
2. If the Jewish custom not to use this name was wrong, would not have Jesus corrected this as he did with the Sabbath, throwing people out of the temple, etc.?
3. Would it not be part of the model prayer?
Food for thought..
Jesus said we should do things in HIS name to the glory of who? The Father.
