Hahaha yet again you have made me laugh. Thank you for that. Your arguments were close to ZERO, I will give you a 1 for effort. If you do not want to debate, then why are you on here? And those last questions I will be glad to answer :) -

Like I said, you should show everyone PROOF (Bible texts for what you are saying)
1. Maybe you need to re-read your Bible. (Exodus 20:3) Read it a couple of times just so it can sink in that brain of yours :)
2. Give me a text that shows that Jesus endorsed slavery and rape?
3. What about the pole with the snake and the temple? Explain yourself better and with Biblical proof
4. Let me educate you: First, we should quote the verse correctly. It doesn't say God “needed” to rest; it simply says that He did. Also, it is clear from Scripture that God did not rest because He was tired.Genesis 17:1 calls God the “Almighty God.” Psalm 147:5 says, “Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” God is all-powerful; He never tires and never needs to rest. As Isaiah 4:28 says, “The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary.” God is the sum of perfection; He is never diminished in any way, and that includes being diminished in power.
When God said, “Let there be light,” the light appeared. He simply spoke creation into existence Genesis 1:1-3. Later, we read that Jesus Christ “is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power” Hebrews 1:3. Forget the image of Atlas straining under the weight of the world on his shoulders. It’s not like that. The entire universe is held together by Jesus’ word. The creation and maintenance of the universe is not difficult for God. A mere word will suffice. As Psalm 33:9 declares, “For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.”
The Hebrew word translated “rested” in Genesis 2:2 includes other ideas than that of being tired. In fact, one of the main definitions of the Hebrew word shabat is “to cease or stop."God did not merely “rest” on the seventh day; He “stopped creating.” It was a purposeful stop. Everything He desired to create had been made. He looked at His creation, declared it “very good”, and ceased from His activity. In the Jewish tradition, the concept of shabat has been carried over as the "Sabbath.” The Law of Moses taught there was to be no work at all on the seventh day (Saturday). Because God ceased from work that day, the Israelite's were to cease from their work on the Sabbath. Thus, the days of creation are the basis of our universal observance of a seven-day week.5. Many people mocked and beat Jesus, yet he still died so they can have salvation. My point is this: Even though my parents don't treat me well, they are still MY parents. We must honor them with respect. If they abuse you, of course go and report them, I would do that, but this commandment is showing us how to love our neighbor. Forgiveness is the biggest key to having a happy life. When we don't forgive, we live with envy and hate. But yes I understand what you are saying.
6. You have heard that the ancients were told, 'YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT MURDER ' and 'Whoever commits murder shall be liable to the court.'"But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; (Mathew 5:21) Words can kill someone weather you agree or not, it is the truth. But the command here is, DO NO KILL PERIOD.
7. Just because someone from the Bible did something doesn't mean God approves. Can you please show me where God approves of this... "Patriarchs were horning it up with temple concubines, sleeping with women not their wives and sleeping with their wives servants ALL THE TIME and with God's approval." AND THIS.."God approved of that all the time. In fact, polygamous marriages were also something God supported." Don't reply if you don;t have any Biblical proof to what you are saying.
8. Again, please explain yourself better with Bible proof. Just to remind you. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE BIBLE
9. A lie is a lie plain and simple. And Jesus promised to come back, which He will come back for his people. But that's another topic for another day ;)
10. Of course!! Jesus was poor, look at him? Many apostles died for there faith, they were persecuted yet found joy in there trials and tribulations, why? Because they found JESUS. They were blessed with what they had. And I hope anyone that is reading this can find joy and happiness with Jesus tonight. :)

The 10 commandments are to protect us. They show the love of God. Lets view them one by one.
1.) You shall have no other gods before me.
- Why wouldn't God want us to have other gods? Maybe because He cares for us that he only want us to follow and obey him. If we put God before anything, we will be blessed. Even something small like money or sex can become a "god" in our lives. Whatever takes the first place in your life, other than God, that can become a god to us. God wants what is best for us.
2.) You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.
- There are many people who worship images of "Jesus" or other gods. This commandment is pretty simple to understand. God is saying, you don;t need something concrete to worship me and to talk to me, you can do that anywhere, because I am God Almighty. God does not limit himself to a certain place, but rather He is everywhere.
3.) You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
- There are many people who misuse the name of God by disrespecting Him. Even the way we act with someone can be misusing the name of God by our actions. As Christians, we are called to represent the name of God.
4.) Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
- This is the only commandment that says "REMEMBER". Could it be that many people would forget the significance and importance in the Biblical Sabbath? Going back to creation week, God blessed, sanctified, and made the Sabbath Holy. Was the Sabbath made for himself or for us? He made everything for our own good. The Sabbath is a day of rest and restoration, it brings us back to remembering our creator and where we came from. Speaking from my own experience, the Sabbath has been a true blessing in my life. It gives me comfort and reassurance that there truly is a God that created me in his image, redeemed me, and restores me.
The first 4 commandments shows the love we have for God. Jesus summarized it perfectly "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (Mark 12:30)
5.) “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
- Why wouldn't this be relevant to us TODAY? Honoring and respecting our parents is something that we need to practice. Is it important? YES
6.) You shall not murder.
- Very simple to understand. God is protecting us from murdering another human being. Not only can we kill something fiscally, but psychologically as well. Words can kill someone. Let us not commit murder. Let's preserve the life that God has given to us and others. Is this commandment important for us TODAY? YES
7.) You shall not commit adultery
- God has set forth this commandment to protect our families. How many families are being destroyed in these days because a wife or husband decided to go and get with another married person. This not only destroys themselves, but the kids, and the entire family. Let us preserve our families as well. Is this commandment important to keep? YES
8.) You shall not steal
-SIMPLE, DO NOT STEAL WHAT BELONGS TO OTHERS
9.) You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor
- If you have nothing good to say about someone, you shouldn't say it at all. There are many people who make up rumors and they end up destroying the life of the person they rumored about. It's just not right. Don't do it.
10.) You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor
- When we begin to mourn because we don't have enough money, or because we don't have the house another person has, or for any other reason to want something of someone else, we turn into someone who is always complaining in life and we are just not happy. Let's be blessed for what we have right now. If you only have 5 dollars for the week, make the best of that. Let's not complain about having the things other people have. Be blessed and let God come first.
The last 6 commandments shows our love toward our neighbors. Again, Jesus summarizes these 6 - "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Mathew 12:31)
The ten commandments are a testament to Gods love for us. Why don't people view them like this? I'm not sure.

NO! You are misquoting me. Go back and read it again. I said: I believe the Ten Commandments are eternal.
The discussion is the Ten Commandments and I kept to it. You are reading what YOU want to see not what is actually on the page.
Read more carefully.
Yes she should read it more carefully. Anyways, So Frank, what denomination are you representing if I may ask?

Haha take it easy Viviane. Let's take this one step at a time. We have to understand that we live in a different day and age. The culture back then was different. I am talking about the ten commandments that God wrote with his finger on the tablets of stone. (Exodus 20) Read if you must. My question was, should we still be keeping the 10 commandments? God's Word speaks of two great laws. Law number 1 is the law of God (the ten commandments, or Two tablets of the Testimony,) also known as the moral law and the Decalogue. Law number 2 is the Law of Moses (the “Book of the Law,” or “Book of the Covenant”), also known as the Mosaic Law, the Ordinances and the Ceremonial Law. And next time Viviane, make sure to put Bible text on where you are getting your information from. Thanks. -

I try to keep them, but I fail. "For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." (Romans 3:20) The 10 commandments will not save me, only Jesus can. But if you truly love Jesus, you will keep his commandments.
