The letter didn't say you will need a username and password to download media files. Actually, the log-in page has been moved to allow for the front-page to be visible without logging in. You will be able to download without a username and password. The letter didn't say the two editions would be 'split'. All indications are they will be available. Otherwise we would have received instructions on how to obtain the Study edition. Well see in a few weeks.

2008 study WT will be confiscated from non-publishers
by mac n cheese inthe literature servant told me that their instructions are to only give one study wt per publisher starting with the january 1st, 2008 issue.
under no circumstances are they to provide any other copies (if lost or whatever, much like kms are provided now).
any guests attending the wt study will be provided a copy, but then the servant who gave them the copy must confiscate it after the meeting.

All kingdom hall attendance is by invitation only. Obviously, everyone is invited. But if you disrupt the peace, your invitation will be revoked. All halls are private property. This is true for most building and homes. If you disturb the peace in a business, the owner has a right to remove you. The only building where you have a "right" to "demonstrate" are government buildings and public parks. Even then, you may need a permit. Sounds like the hall has experience past problems. I assume the sign was posted to remind visitors they are there by invitation.

If you don't want a visit from a publisher, in January you will all be able to download The Watchtower from jw.org. This will replace the CDs distributed to the members in the hall. You will be able to set up an online subscription service to download in MP3 or ACC format. Folks, there is no "members-only" or "secret Watchtower".

***** If you wish to obtain a copy of the WT Study edition, ask one of the elders to assign you to a personal magazine route and to please include the Study Edition. They will assign a publisher to deliver the magazines to your home. If you are disfellowshipped, go to the magazine counter. As long as you are not an outspoken apostate you will receive your copy. If the elders refuse, write to the branch. They will clarify the procedure with the local body of elders. There is no secrecy with the WT Study edition.***** *** km 7/04 p. 3 Question Box *** How should personal copies of The Watchtower and Awake! be obtained? If someone in your territory requests regular magazine delivery, please be sure to follow through promptly so that not even one issue is missed. Disfellowshipped persons may obtain the magazines or other literature for their personal use at the magazine and literature counter at the Kingdom Hall. Disfellowshipped persons should not be included on a personal magazine route.

The letter to the congregations specifically said that any non-witness who requests a copy of the WT Study edition will be provided a copy. It may be happening, but that's not the procedure. Speak to the PO and tell him what the letter said. The letter was read to the congregation and posted on the information board. If you don't get him to budge; wait for the CO or write to the society. They are not following the instructions. There is no directive from the society to conceal the magazine.

Was the CA expense ever justified to the elders?
by AK - Jeff inat every single circuit assembly i attended, there was always the inevitable 'accounts report'.
it was pretty much always the same;.
"our expenses for the operation of this fine spiritual meal is estimated to be $18,000.

The "books" are available to any elder that wishes to examine them. They are brought to each meeting. I've never been at a meeting where anyone looks at the them. As mentioned before, most of the expenses are a calculated on a per publisher amount. It's a facility "usage fee". Also, if there is a special guest speaker, his expenses are included. A new rule went into effect a few years ago. The lump sum WWW donation can't come from the donations received. It has to come from the circuit account and the amount is announced.

Ah, the ad hominem response. Ok Jeff I will stay out of "your thread". It still doesn't change the facts. Good bye.

Let me start by addressing your source: British newspapers. That is all I will say about your source. Second Point: quote" Please verify the veracity of this statement. If one looses too much blood - and opportunity exists to replace it and avert a sure death - how is the refusal to accept that same blood not at blame for the death?" Simple answer Jeff; you are begging the question and ignoring the facts. My statement is factual. The cause of death has not been established. You, I or the British media are in no position to make this determination. Your other questions: quote "Do you doubt that she died as a result of her refusal to accept blood". I don't think my opinion matters or changes the facts. From what I understand an investigation is yet to be conducted by the coroner.

Jeff, I don't think the official cause of death has been determined (I could be wrong). Either by the coroner or the doctors. I suspect (my opinion), her death was caused by the loss of blood due to complications during birth. If she would have received the transfusion and died the cause of death would be the same (this does happen). A transfusion does not guarantee survival; any responsible doctor will mention this. Her “refusal to accept a blood transfusion” did not cause her death. That is a fact! But it's omitted in your letter. I will get many responses to this post. Maybe some ad hominem; but it will not change the fact I stated; which you omitted in your letter.
