i didn't say it was perfect!!!
however, you have a way with words that invites me to read your story.
a flair for the narrative.
i look forward to more.

really well written, metaspy. and if you can pour out a story
like that in about two hours, then you have a gift.
thanks so much for sharing.
as someone else on this forum said, they have "obscene" control over lives.

thank you, brinjen, for posting the link to this story (in mr. flipper's thread).
"the control they have over peoples lives is obscene"
oui, oui, oui. and almost as amazing as our willingness to hand it over to them.
i am touched by your story, like many others i read here.
i'm hoping to collate my own thoughts into story form soon.

mouthy said, "now was that nice???"
well, a bit nicer than positing "unspeakable punishment" for others.
and she said, "you're behaving like a jw when you think you know what will happen in the end"
i don't think she said she knew what was happening in the end. but perry did. not pretty, either.
and, "if perry thinks that way it is faith that allows that"
what a lovely example of what faith can hope for! -

The peace racket
by John Doe ina growing movement is pushing a worldview that ignores history's lessons about strength and appeasement.. by bruce bawer.

'if you want peace, prepare for war," counseled the roman general flavius vegetius renatus more than 1,600 years ago, echoing the sage advice given nine centuries earlier by the chinese military strategist sun tzu.

trust me, you would have eventually eaten those apples,
and now you must pay.
love,
god
(god's answer to kathleen lavalee, who in prayer said she
never would have eaten those apples if god had told her
not to. from the site referenced by nvr above) -

by the way, roller dave, so as not to sound too negative
on ya,
your sense of humour is great. i loved your response on the
the thread started by the combination poster, you suggested
"wearelegion" as a good screen name. gave me my best laugh
of the night.

hey roller dave
got yerself a nice gunrack installed in that there monster
truck, do ya?
i'll take my chances with the "department of peace", and
those who really care about a sense of fair play in the world.
terroristic states (usa chief among therm) just don't do it
for me anymore. that's one good concept that those darned
jw's instilled in me, that we're all brothers and sisters in
this big, bad world....i'll give up my car in a flash if that
helps this government pursue policies that are not about
raping the rest of the world.
protection is one thing, but far different than the blatantly
criminal policies and activities of this government in modern
history. -

dear cassyrene
like you, and like others here, i have fleshly family who shun me.
my family is large, three brothers, two sisters, a boatload of
nieces and nephews, my mother. i'm not welcome in their homes....
you will be ok. i can hear the clarity in your voice.
wishing you well.
