  my, how the years roll by.. 20 years ago today argentina invaded the falkland islands.. friday 2nd april 1982.. it seems like yesterday.. edited to change 70 years for 20 years, because i'm really not old enough to remember 70 years back - honest.. thanks xena!

  Memorial Week

  when i was a dub, things i hated about memorial week, another meeting, god forbid, i mean jehovah forbid we cancel a book study.

  worried about my kids dropping the wine, having to go and meet all the new ones that come in, having to give the talk, having to listen to the talk, having to rearrange the chairs.. things i liked about this week, had an excuse to take off work, hoping some other kid would drop the wine, not having to go place magazines, because we were inviting people to the memorial, drinking the wine after the memorial, laughing at the brothers tiring to park the cars, tiring to guess who would partake.

  what is the good news that the apostles preached and how does it compare to the one that jws preach;.

  the first example is preaching to someone who already has faith in god, and the other example is preaching to those who do not have faith in god.. the first example is taken from acts 10:34-44 (rsv edition).

  Look do we have here? It is Mr H. G. Wells!! Around 1895, he went into a time machine and went back to the 1st century CE to see what the Christians was doing back then. And then he went to the 21st century to see what the Christians is doing now. What did Defender found out about the 1st and 21st century Christians? They worshipped the same God Jehovah and have the same Savior Jesus.
