at work tonight someone came in with a t-shirt that read in large, bold print on the back of his shirt, "muslims suck!

" as the manager on duty i had the enjoyable task of approaching this very reasonable (tongue in cheek) fellow and explaining to him that our policy did not allow for such t-shirts and he would, therefore, have to either turn it inside out so it couldn't be read or he would be asked to leave.

his reply, "you're a f***ing muslim loving b***h!".

i hear it constantly, but i have no idea exactly what it's supposed to mean.

so if one of your relatives dies, and you pray for help: unless you die, or have a nervous breakdown you got through it, correct?

What does is it mean when the Gospels say that God notes the little bird that falls to the ground?
What does it mean that He has the hairs of our heads counted?

It means nothing to those who are hurting and going through hell. If a person is having a wonderful life, are healthy and prosperous, it's a platitude that they spout off to those who are thinking exactly what a lot of us are thinking when we ask the question, Where the f*ck is god!

her fearless way in meeting the problems head on, not covering up, calling in expert help, investigating, apologizing, getting all adults away from the campass so the girls could talk openly about what happened.

those girls came first.

This is the number one reason I lost faith in god.

God helps no one. The god of the bible can kiss my *ss. If I am going to "get through it" I have to figure out how to "get through it" myself. I f*cking hate, forget it.

in the interest of self-healing and finding the peace that comes from being grateful, can you think of anything at all that was positive about having been one of jehovah's witnesses?.

not to be misunderstood with missing something about it, is there something about the experience that has enriched you?.

to answer the question myself, being forced to face the fallacies of the teachings of jwism, i was also prompted to look past those teachings and reevaluate everything i believed in.. that experience was frightening and unsettling, but i'm thankful for it.. i now have a greater appreciation for life in all its wonder than i did when i took it for granted as one of jehovah's witnesses.. i'm more determined now to find meaning in this life, after having lived for so long for a future that was never to arrive..
